Is this normal after NOA2?

It's been 24 days since we received our NOA2, however NVC still doesn't have my case number. I have been told by NVC operators and supervisors my file hasn't arrived from VSC and when I call USCIS, immigration officer tells me it does take some time for them to send my case to NVC and I have to wait at least 90 days before they will make an inquiry. I see people have their case transferred to NVC after NOA2 within days. Am I missing something here? Is anyone here in the same boat as I am? What should I do?

I got my case number a month after my NOA2.Yours will come pretty soon.

Mine was about a week. I was at the California Service Centre and that was around March - sounds like they are experiencing a slow down.

our NOA2 approval date was July 7th and the NVC received it the 8th and then they told us our case was mailed to the embassy the 13th :S lol.. I wonder if they even looked at our case cuz it seems it went by the NVC too fast! ... I think you should give a call to the NVC.. it is busy sometimes but we did get to talk to someone there!.. I bet they will help you out

I know it takes several days for NVC to receive my file. I have been calling them every day, since I received NOA2 and talking to operators. A few times I spoke to the supervisors. They told me if they don't have my case they can't help. I suspect VSC simply forgot to send it. NVC asked me to email them with the copy of my NOA2. I did, a week ago, but I haven't heard from them ever since. This is really sucks. USCIS will not help you until 90 days passed since NOA2.

I just spoke to immigration officer at USCIS and he told me that my file was transferred to New York office for processing before it's forwarded to NVC. Why would they do that? Is this something new?

What? So they are telling you that they lost your stuff and you should send all again? Koshmar! How can they loose your package, there is all your life, all your info! I hope it all get resolved soon In our case, we also have some issues now, because as I told you they send our petition to France, and we really do not know if my fiance will be resident of France for the time of the interview.
