If you sent the I-130 on 06/24 then it hasn't been 2 months and 10 days, it's only been almost 2 weeks. It takes about a month or so to get an NOA1 (a notification letting you know that they've received it). And depending on the service center, it may take between 3-6 months for the approval.

,about what center i really don't know , we sent the papers to chicago from texas so i have no idea what center it will go . thank u guys

It probably went to the Vermont Service Center which means it can take up to 6 months or so. You can check other people's Timelines (via the Timeline Search) who filed around the same date you did to get an idea of how long you will have to wait for your approval.

up to 6 months ? why is that ? is that about the center or so ? can u explain to me what diffrent between any center of them , sorry i know i am asking alot , thx alot

It could be 6 months or more, or it could take less than 6 months, there's no specific amount of time. It all depends on how backed up they are, how many petitions they received, how many people they have working on each petition, how complicated each petition is, etc.

For now, there are two service centers that handle I-129Fs, the Vermont Service Center and the California Service Center. People send their petitions to the service center they belong to depending on where they live. So for example, you can't live in NY and send it to the CSC, you'd have to send it to the VSC.

In theory, based on what we've seen here on VJ and what people report back to everyone based on their timelines is that the VSC is for the most part a lot slower than the CSC. It's almost always been that way.

The above posts were split off from the pinned "General Guides and Information" topic as they do not belong in the listed thread

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

USCIS POSTED GUIDELINES for CSC and VSC are six months. 180 days.

IF you get approved prior to 180 days, it's a blessing.

There's NOTHING you can do, at this point, to speed things along, as there's a queue.

Be patient, wait.
