Rush Limbaugh Says Obama Purposly Caused the Recession

Outspoken Rush Limbaugh attacked President Obama once again. His attacks on President Obama have been going on for a long time now, so this is not a shock to most. On his radio show on July 2, 2010, Limbaugh spoke his mind loudly, clearly and without a filter.

Limbaugh stated that he believes "Obama tanked the economy on purpose, both as payback for 230 years of racial oppression and because Obama simply doesn't like America." Wow, what an outrage Limbaugh has caused among Obama supporters, but again, nothing new.

Limbaugh continued, "Who is Obama? Why is he doing this? Why? Why is he doing it? Is he stupid? Is it an accident? Is he doing it on purpose or what have you? ... I think we face something we've never faced before in the country -- and that is, we're now governed by people who do not like the country, who do not have the same reverence for it that we do. Our greatest threat (and this is saying something) is internal."

Limbaugh also stated, "[Obama] wouldn't have been voted president if he weren't black. Somebody asked me over the weekend why does somebody earn a lot of money have a lot of money, because she's black. It was Oprah. No, it can't be. Yes, it is. There's a lot of guilt out there, show we're not racists, we'll make this person wealthy and big and famous and so forth.... If Obama weren't black he'd be a tour guide in Honolulu or he'd be teaching Saul Alinsky constitutional law or lecturing on it in Chicago."

Limbaugh has also been known to attack Oprah Winfrey with racist remarks. News anchor, Keith Olbermann named Rush Limbaugh "Worst Person in the World" on Tuesday night. Olbermann was not pleased with Limbaugh's comments that "Oprah and President Obama only succeeded because of their race".

In reference to Limbaugh's quotes, Olbermann stated, "These quotes speak for themselves and for a diseased and failing mind." In reference to Limbaugh's quotes, Olbermann stated, "It's naked ugly racism, it is the distillation of Rush Limbaugh's ugly view of our country…Oprah, please crush this schmuck!"

Actually, I agree. Rush is irrelevant, a waste of time. You can't get good/bad or indifferent political commentary from him, he's an entertainer plain and simple.

He is certainly overquoted, given the light weight nature of his content.

I don't mind the odd talkshow, as its just a talkshow. Though, where I do have a problem is when these guys, who are often not educated in an area, claim to be experts and build a cult like following.

That sort of ideological - draw the line - ####### is doing a lot of harm to America. It's now why you have those anti-government loonies, like the two idiots that recently killed two police officers because they feel they don't need a license.
