Well last week I called the embassy and they had only received the email from the NVC and wouldnt let me schedule anything so I called tonight and it must be all good to go because they let me set up the interview for later this month, which works out just great because we were trying to get ahead of the game by getting the medical all done, she flys to manila tomorrow to spend a few days doing that and also some seminar she claims to have to attend(which I havent found anywhere), but just wanted to thank all who have given me advice, and want to know if there is anymore that I should have? I am mailing out the final pack to her in the morning it should be there in two weeks and then she should be good to go. Her interview is on the 23rd of July, with god's will and she passes I figured her arrival time to be around the 1st or 2nd week of august does that sound about right? also any recommendation on where to book flights here? All I have really found was Philippine air, but they only go to san fran, la, or vegas. id like to get her into either chicago, milwaukee, minneapolis, detroit or st. louis if possible. Thanks again!

In addition to the K-1 visa itself being placed in the Passport, make sure she gets the CFO stamp to leave Manila or whatever her Philippine departure city is. This is a Philippine specific requirement.

CFO Counseling Program will take two-hours and costs about Php250

Per Republic Act 8239 and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Order 28-94, Filipinos proceeding abroad as spouses and other partners of foreign nationals are required to attend the CFO's guidance and counseling program as a pre-requisite to the issuance of passports.

It's the seminar the POs sweetie "claimed to have to attend" It's required for her to leave the PI. No stamp, No flight....

Delta flies into Minn/St Paul, and Detroit. I bought tickets through priceline.com The prices on the Delta website are hella more expensive than the search engines. Good luck!

I booked my flight in http://www.expedia.com/ and get a good deal since we booked the flight earlier. I did connecting flight from Manila to Hongkong.. then Hongkong to O'hare.. The ticket fee doesn't include travel tax i think so she would have to pay that at the airport. I hope you would be able to find one.

the seminar is the cfo and never mail important papers with us mail[usps]because it it is dangerous when it gets to manila post office [they raid the mail] you said 2 weeks? use fed ex 3 to 5 days,expensive but she is guaranteed to get it!!

Cheaptickets won't allow you to book flights that originates from Manila :

Expedia is good but expensive though
