The cost depends on his age.

and possibly even the timing of the submission in relationship to the K-1's application.

YMMV

Read the K1/K3 AOS guides and the form instructions.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

What you submit for the K2 child is essentially the same as what you submit for the K1, with some minor differences. For example, if you submit the K2 package at the same time as you submit the K1 package then you don't need to include supporting evidence for the I-864 (tax returns, etc.) with the K2 package, but you STILL need to include a signed I-864 for the K2. Also, if the child is too young to legally work in the US then there's no point in submitting an I-765 EAD application.

Cost is $600 if the child is under 14 and the child's AOS package is submitted concurrently with the K1's AOS package. Cost is $930 if the child is under 14 and the child's AOS package is submitted after the K1's AOS package. Cost is $1010 if the child is 14 or older, regardless if the child's AOS package is submitted concurrently or after the K1's AOS package. The child's AOS package cannot be submitted before the K1's AOS package.

Read the forms and instructions carefully, and follow the instructions.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

I am submitting my sons AOS at the same time as mine he is 16 so he is eligble to work in the US, but I had heard or sorry read that I can not apply for a EAD for him. Is this correct. I know I have to submit a seperate AP document for him but I am unsure about the EAD.

You can definitely apply for EAD for him. With the EAD he can get a Social Security Number and therefore work ... otherwise, from my understanding, he would have to wait until he has his green card to get one.

Good luck! :)
