Thanks Everyone!

I didn't call I got an email around 8 o'clock last night!

Looks like they are giving out dates again.

Congrats!

Still nothing here... and no response to the emails my congressman's office sent.

If a couple can survive this process, they deserve a visa just for getting thru the stress of it all together!

The ones you submit to the IRS, yes, most definitely.

I don't think you need to sign the ones you submit to the NVC but I don't know.

sachinky, did you submit your copies of the 1040's to the NVC with or without signatures?

Something like this: :bonk: ?

:D

Ok there is no signature on the 1040. I hope that's not a problem.

My copies that I will submit to the NVC do NOT have signatures. However, the ones I submitted to the IRS did have them.

I just asked my friend who already has an interview scheduled. She and her husband did not have the 1040 signed when they sent it to the NVC. They did not get an RFE.

Makes me feel better.

All the 1040s I submitted were signed. They are NOT IRS tax transcripts and therefore, IMO, NEED to be signed.

I can print out a 1040 right now for my husband without his signature saying he made 100k this year. Doesn't mean squat.

Also, I wouldn't count what NVC does or does not do regarding the I-864. The CO has the final say in evaluating the I864 and the pertinent supporting documentation and if it was me, I'd have all my bases covered.

Very good point. I am also sending IRS transcripts anyway, but signing them should not hurt.

But you wouldn't have the W2s to support the statement.

I will definitely have him sign them anyway if we get through without an RFE.
