Posted Today, 03:25 PM on friday morning i packed up the bike and headed west, with a 45 in a bianchi rig, a cut off pistol gripped marlin '98 shotty slung across my back, an M16 in a soft case under the left leg, a half case of ammo in the saddlebags to keep the weight centered low, a change of clothes and a toothbrush in a bag across the ###### seat, and a bedroll tied to the front of the handlebars. 5 hours of cruising on the lincoln highway took me through a few of the little towns that still make up the heart of America, and 3000 feet up onto the mountaintops to a little town called central city not far from where my father was born in scalp level, and where i was raised in ogletown. a few miles up dirt roads into a strip mine buried in the gallitzin forest took me into the heart of friendship and shared lives.

about 40 guys showed up for the spring shoot and campout before the weekend was over, but i got there in time to claim a bunk in the cabin and to drink somebody elses' beer and eat somebody elses' keilbasa off the grill over the fire. normally i travel with full gear and do the cooking, bring the crates of ammo from the distributor, or enough surplus fun stuff to run an afghani arms bazzar out of the back of the camo'd F150, but this time it was bare bones. nobody cared that i was naked headed and bumming smokes in my worn out pumas, or that i forgot the deodorant, cause i had a bottle of whisky i picked up in breezwood, and a half dozen 60 second hang flares to light up the gooks in the wire. the first flare we lit off at 10 brought in the po-po on a report of some wannabe firefighter from a town 15 miles away, but it was one of the good guys, so he stayed for awhile bitching about how undergunned he was in this crowd, and wished us goodnight.

we sat up all night talking about ex-wives and new girlfriends, but nobody broke the rule requiring absolute respect for current wives, though they did ask where Li was, and if she would bring the plaid minis and saddle shoes for the wives included campout scheduled for august. most guys fell asleep in the lawn chairs around the fire, or took the time to roll out a ruck and crash near the embers listening to the 30 years of grand funk railroad that played till dawn, but the guy that owns the strip job and i crashed the bunks at about 3am and talked till 4 about politics and jobs, children and bills, high blood pressure and the demise of the American space program.

saturday morning came hard, and breakfast ran till noon, then we lit up the line. not as many belt feds as usual with mine out of the line, but lots of new subguns and a couple new 50's, with the hit of the party being a kitty kat of a sweedish K that ran putta putta until somebody dug out a crate of +p+ surp that got it up from 500 beats a minute to about 750. new ideas included a CZ-52 with an extended barrel, frame modified for CZ26 doublestack mags, and a wire stock ala grease gun. it's on my list to do, with the continued give-away prices on the romanian surp ammo.

rain fell from 4pm to 10, but nobody seemed to care, and the banging of the 600 yard gong with 50 APIT continued till twilight, when the tracer shoot and more white hang flares took over the freeform festivities. silence by 11 as the mountain pies and fillet mignon filled the empty spaces and glass jugs of stuff i had made a year or so ago and left in the cabin made the rounds. guys who hadn't arrived till the morning took over the story telling and outright prevarications and fabrications, and the talk turned to the loss of an America we loved. the more level headed among us reminded that America is on a very wide base, and cannot be toppled so easily. she will stand the night, no matter how hard the push from the people of non-christian faith/ethic (edited at moderator's request to remove traditional term describing people with out christian faith/ethic) running the show these days. in the midst of it all i turned to the skies and my eyes closed, with my head on a log and my #### on the grass.

sunday morning brought in a few more stragglers, one of which drove 5 hours, only to stay 3, and eat up another 5 getting home. 10 hours driving for 3 hours of shared time seemed a good deal to him, and most agreed. another lazy morning led into an afternoon of shooting each other's irons and sharing deals well made before a rare breakthru of sunshine in the clouds convinced me that i had the weather to get home dry. i could have stayed in the cabin all week for what anybody cared, but sugar rang the phone, so i answered the call.

got sprinkled on at blue knob summit, and ran into a wall of black at everet that made me u-turn to a handy quicky mart canopy to sit out half an hour of downpour with 20 feet visibility. i shared the spot with a 1%er who was on his way to a rally at H-burg and turned down $250 for the antique pistol gripped shotty i was wearing, pretty certain of what his plans were for it. the rest of the run was dry till i hit gettysburg, from whence it rained steadily, but the road was empty and night was falling so i leaned on it and found out what an S40 can really do before pulling up the gravel lane, shucking my sopping duds on the porch, and hitting a steaming hot shower and a smoking hot woman.

it's my life. these are my friends. i'm American, and i'm not alone. just the way it is.

anybody who has read a decent quantity of victorian period writing has seen the term, usually with all 3 letters in capitalisation and often with periods, specifically defined as With Out God, or With Other Gods. this term was commonly used in the period to define non-christian peoples. a late example of use of the term with defined meaning occurs on T.E. Lawrence's Seven Pillars, a tale of his interaction with arab peoples in israel, iraq, and syria in the 1914-1918 period on behalf of allied interests against the turks.

the fact that modern internet based dictionaries define it as a racial slur against dark skinned people does not change it's meaning. rather, this indicates the ignorance of those who have attempted to redefine it. this is merely a liberalist whitewash of a term that was commonly used into the 1950's-60's in the UK and in the USA, and remains in use to a degree. i heard it used in conversation in exactly that context as recently as saturday by an older english gentleman who is in USA as an LPR and did service in several countries that were former british colonies.

Wog was used as a bigoted term in the 60's and probably before in the UK. Not sure where shooter got his misinformation, but it is quite clear to everyone that his intention was derogatory. The funniest part in the what the #### is he on about type of funny, is that shooter claims not to believe in god himself so isn't he part of the problem his mates and he were deriding? Not sure who the leaders of the US are who are not judeochristian however. Perhaps he can enlighten?
