I'm happy to report that my mom was approved today. I haven't been able to talk to her much, so I don't know anything about her interview experience yet. Good luck to the rest!!

In case you're wondering, her interview was rescheduled from the 8th to the 7th (at their request).

For those about to POE:

POE--Immigration processing. Need Customs form, passport, visa, POE envelope. Make sure to ask if you're updated in the SAVE system before you leave.

Wait for SSN in the mail. If it doesn't come in 2 weeks time, go to the local office and apply in person with visa, passport, and marriage certificate. They will need the A#. It's the 8 digit # on your visa marked as the registration #. Preceded by a 0. It will also be handwritten at some POEs, not all.

Should receive in 7-10 days but can take longer since they have to verify A# through DHS. Give it about 14-21 days.

'Welcome Letter' SHOULD be in your mail within 3-4 weeks. If it has been more than 30 days since POE, contact USCIS.

GC should follow in 14 days after the welcome letter which you can use to track the status of your GC production.

During the process, if you the immigrant move, you will need to file the AR-11 through mail, phone or online.

Your spouse, the USC petitioner, will need to file the I865 through mail.

If you hold a CR-1 visa, you will need to file for ROC, 90 days prior to the expiry of the 2 year GC.

Hey guys. My husband booked his ticket to come to America August 4th. He will receive his green card in the mail tomorrow. Its such an incredible feeling knowing that we are complete.

He was in and out of the embassy within an hour and 43 minutes! The only questions he got asked was - when did you celebrate your two year anniversary (which we haven't we have only been married 7 months), have you ever been arrested for drunk driving (no), and do you have any kids (no). They didn't look at any of his photos, phone bills, and everything else in his huge binder which he spent hours making!! They did ask for another copy of his police check and marriage certificate even though my husband saw the lady had a set. He had to speak to two people. When the second guy approved him my husband joked and said "don't you want to know what brand of makeup she wears or her favorite color". The officer laughed.

To everyone who has been approved congrats and to everyone who has upcoming interviews goodluck!!!

Your husband must have a set of balls. Man, as soon as I'm approved, I'm fu**ing out of there ASAP before they give any reason to do or say otherwise hahaha

Sorry I have not been on much since I arrived to Egypt. Been spending my time with my hubby :D I want to say congrats to everyone!!! I guess I will be kicking off week three :) I will post as soon as I can after his interview :yes: Good Luck to everyone in week three as well!!!
