big freaking dilemma for an RFE i got

ok so i got a RFE asking to send in the original Birth certificate. i sent them originals ones (urdu/english) with stamp on them. i dont know y they're saying they're photocopied. what should i do, talk to the supervisor???

If you are a citizen & the petitioner do you still need to send your Birth certificate? NVC didn't ask me for mine. I am petitioner/spouse for my wife (Bangladesh) Double check whether you need to provide your Birth Certificate

Well, it doesn't say whose BC is required beneficiary or petitioner? Check the link below and select your country for "PAKISTAN' specific documents. Petitioner's (your) BC is not required if you are a US Citizen

no they're not asking for my BC. obviously my spouses (beneficiary) BC which i sent them original with stamp and everything. they're so dumb to understand that stamps and signatures can also b with black ink.......

How hard is it to get a new BC ? I would recommend you hubby to get 2 new ORIGINAL/CERTIFIED BC ( keep 1 for interview, in case they loose it)& also send color photo copy. That helps a lot to differentiate between ORIGINAL & COPY.

since it was signed and stamped in BLACKKK ink and they were too blind to tell if it was a copy or original. i asked my husband to get another one original blue ink(urdu/english) and mail it to me which will take another week..arghhh i was expecting for SIF tomorrow damn ittt. 3 more weeks

isn't there a way i can convince them maybe call and talk to them??????

Just to let you know, send the marriage certificate (English) & Nikah Nama (Both URDU/ENGLISH) BOTH to avoid further RFE. NVC treats NIKAH NAMA as marriage Certificate. The correct English term for Nikah Nama is MARRIAGE CONTRACT CERTIFICATE. I also got RFE for not sending Nikah Nama. Always try to use color photo copy (personal experience)

yea i know, i actually sent in the urdu/english originals of the marriage cert. it was just this BC i'm having issues with coz he made a new one. anywaz i'll call them and ask them if there's possiblity for more RFE's or it was just the issue with birth cert.

again u know if we can convince them over the phone maybe talk to the supervisor? just trying to get the answers from visajourney ppl or probably who've been through this situation. rather than waiting 4 more weeks of getting, mailing and them reviweing it.

I don't think talking to NVC VIA phone will make any difference. Best thing you can do is ask you husband to get the thing. Here is a short cut for you.

1) E-MAIL THE RFE BARCODE SHEET TO YOUR HUSBAND & HAVE HIM PRINT IT.

2) TELL HIM TO SEND THE DOCUMENT ALONG WITH THE BARCODE COVER SHEET TO THE ADDRESS MENTIONED IN THE RFE SHEET ASAP.

3) SEND VIA FEDEX. NVC WILL GET IT WITHIN 3/4 BUSINESS DAYS. YOU CAN TRACK IT ONLINE WHEN THEY GET IT

USC Petitioner DOES NOT SUPPLY USC PETITIONER's Birth Certificate during NVC Processing.

Call. Ask for Supervisor. Please yer case, ask for 2nd 'eyeball review' of the documents that they have. All they can say is no.

ok so i talked to NVC and i told them its original and she said they're going to send it to supervisor??? and i should wait for 10-15 days...u think there r chances supervisor will agree that they're originals. i asked her to transfer to me supervisor but she didn't.....

meanwhile i'll ask my husband to get another original one (signed/stamped in blue ink) and mail it to me.

Hello muskan4eva, I got a RFE yesterday too, just like you, although NVC is asking for different things, NVC wants me to send them a new affidavit, but I´m the beneficiary so its a wrong RFE, they also want a new passport biographic data ´cause mine is expired, but I´m from Brazil which means day 04/Month 12/year 2010 - So my passport will expire in december and not in April, another wrong RFE, and the lawyer we hired forgot the addendum about where I was living until I reached my 16... So I hope they (lawyers) can fix this ASAP. I´m thinking about to call NVC, but I´ll wait to hear something from lawyers.In Brazil we´re 4 hours ahead of California time.

Hey,

They are now making new ones at Nadra. I am not sure which one your spouse has. If its the old one, then may be you should get the one from Nadra made quickly and send that one in. It it is the Nadra one you sent - then may be they don't recognize that one yet ?
