Hi,

I applied for the child care payments here in Hawaii for our youngest son but still not signed the packet they sent me. I am still in doubt to push thru with it because I am under CR1 and Im thinking if that is like a violation against the affidavit of support that my husband filed for me. Considering that is a funded by federal government. Am I being a public liability and just dont apply for child care payments? Hope you guys can help. My deadline of submiting the packet back is before june 1st thanks

I am assuming your husband is USC and father of your child? Assistance for "his" child will not make YOU a public charge. He signed affidavit of support for you only so any gov't support for you may bring questions. If it bothers you, have your husband sign the packet for the child. No biggie.

Topic moved from Removal of Conditions Forum to CR-1 forum as it relates to a CR-1 concern.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

'child care payments' has another name, a legal name, usually on the application form.

Can you tell us, please, what it is?

Thanks !
