I always tell my honey she will look really cute driving my car, and she always replies that she will be a cute passenger...

I don't think she understands that there isn't a bus waiting at every corner here in Minnesota

I started teaching Vicky on my car, which is a 5 speed. She was doing o.k. with it but advanced much faster once we found an inexpensive 2nd hand Corolla with an automatic.

I learned how to drive out of necessity... my husband lost his license (no sorry I won't elaborate or he is going to kill me) so he really couldn't teach me. So I guess he was grateful he didn't have to deal with the stress LOL. I only had 4 hours of training with a driving instructor (and no I never drove a car before), 2 hours driving around an empty parking lot & another 2 hours parallel parking. Of course, I failed the parallel parking, so I had to wait another 4 weeks to try again. My mother-in-law (yes my MIL) took me to the DMV every Sunday to practice parking LOL. Finally nailed it! After that I was all on my own...

My husband was soooooo scared whenever I drove. I guess that still didn't save him the stress coz he said he was always stressed out after a drive (even just to the grocery store).

I also had to park so far away from the other cars in the parking lot & my husband hated it coz we had to walk far. there were times when we get to the place, i'd get off the car & he'll park it close enough for him LOL! Or if I don't get it right, he just fixes it.

After writing all this, I realized, wow! he must have been really scared. I never really looked at him while driving or we'd definitely hit something. Now, I feel bad... I need some fresh air. I think I'll go for a drive...
