Just wondered if the info on how the bomber went thru adjusting status?

Did he use lawyer for AOS and naturalization?

I haven't seen anything on his transfer from alien to USC.

How he get here in the first place?

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

From what I saw on CNN - he was a student in the US, married an USC, went LPR then USC.

He had his masters.

Lost his job, house in foreclosure, went back to Pakistan, left wife there, came back, made bomb - ...

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

IE. He went postal and was probably not part of any terrorist network.

Going postal usually entails shooting up someplace and then blowing your brains in most cases. This guy spent some time making his car bomb and putting it in the Mecca for Muslim terrorists worldwide- Midtown Manhattan. He was on a plane headed back to Pakistan pretty quickly.

Nah, just another coincidence. He just as easily could have been a Swede.

From what I read he quit his job and just stopped making payments....

Said he saw no need to keep making them as he was going back to Pakistan... his wife left a month after he did...

the bolden are the parts that confuse me. not that a person w/ a masters would attempt a bombing. but, a person w/ a master would build a bomb that wouldn't be effective.

i mean seriously, gas cans 3+ feet away from the propane tanks & has a barrier (the rear seat) between them....the suv would have to be completely engulfed in flames for an extended period of time before the propane tanks would explode....that ain't happnin in time square at anytime day or night. he had to know the fire dept. would be called before detonation.

there has to be more to this story. like maybe he intended to go to prison, for another purpose????

i know it sounds all conspiracy theory yadda yadda...but, think about it. he has a masters, was supposedly trained by terrorist & he's too stupid to make a bomb go boom.

I see no connection between a Masters and bomb making...

Many college educated people are not able to change a light bulb in their car...

Other than the TEA party... right?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

cmon now. he'd have to be piss ignorant, to think it would work. if you're going to light a bbq grille, are you going to squirt fluid on the ground & throw a match in the grille?

the reported terrorist training doesn't trip anything for you?

Why do so many terrorists have engineering degrees?

A paper (PDF) released this summer by two sociologists, Diego Gambetta and Steffen Hertog, adds empirical evidence to this observation. The pair looked at more than 400 radical Islamic terrorists from more than 30 nations in the Middle East and Africa born mostly between the 1950s and 1970s. Earlier studies had shown that terrorists tend to be wealthier and better-educated than their countrymen, but Gambetta and Hertog found that engineers, in particular, were three to four times more likely to become violent terrorists than their peers in finance, medicine or the sciences. The next most radicalizing graduate degree, in a distant second, was Islamic Studies.

Some people are just stupid.

Many people start fires every year with bbq grills... many are college educated.

Ignorance can be corrected with education, stupidity is genetic...

i am sure that most engineers won't agree that this exidence points to the personality problems we typically see in engineers, and the trouble they have with seeing persons around them as more than objects. anybody who has worked with traditionally educated engineers knows that they are not the most personable of sorts.

Best person to destroy things is the same person who knows how to build them. Combat engineers are trained to build bridges and blow them up.
