Unfortunately, there is no premium expedited processing fee for I-130s. If there was such a thing, myself and virtually everyone here on VJ would've applied for it.

Sucks that you're in this position but file an I-130 for the kid ASAP and follow Darnell's advice. Good luck and keep us posted.

hi

I went through the same thing as your going through. I submitted an I 130 for my step son. I included in my cover letter asking that they expedite the case also include a copy of your NOA2 with this. After I got the NOA1 for my stepson With a case number. Give the case about 15 days then call the USCIS National customer service center hotline and asked then if they could expedited the case give them the reason to expedite. The same day i called them it got approved total time at USCIS 25 DAYS.

Always and Forever

Hey - any movement? You get that I-130 prepped with the expedite request?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks, but how many more months does this take?

WITH an expedite and NVC Electronic Processing, 3 to 4 months.

IIWY, I'd email GUZ IV Unit, explain that yer filing for a new CR-2, and ask them to reschedule the spouse's interview to occur when the child's interview comes up.

I tried the method Darnell suggested when I filed the I-130 last week.

My wife has an interview scheduled at the embassy 12/3/10 but we're also

considering Darnell's advice to reschedule it when our children's cases

clear the NVC and head to Manila. I'll keep you posted if this low cost

(bit of red ink) expedite continues to work.

10/25/10 I-130 mailed to Chicago lockbox
10/28/10 NOA1 receipt (& priority) date

2/11/11 NVC sends email acceptance of DS3032 to mother
2/14/11 NVC sends father email IV bill
2/24/11 NVC sends mother notices in mail

Thanks, Darnell for the great suggestion! I checked the USCIS case status today and found that our children's petitions had been approved 1/25, so just 3 months from our I-130 application NOA1. On the K1 forum, most of the July and some of the August petitions are getting their approvals from VSC. We decided to delay my wife's medical & interview to allow our children's cases to catch up. It looks like our plan has a chance for success. Once our children's cases complete at NVC (still waiting for my wife to get some documents from the NSO to send me for their DS-230s, so likely not as quick as her NVC process in 12/09). I'm not sure if we'll be able to tie in to the new embassy appointment system (maybe K1s only?) or just use email to reschedule my wife's interview to coincide with our children's scheduled by the NVC? Thanks again for your encouragement Darnell!
