I would like to ask if my 24 yr old sister will still be included in the petitioned file by my uncle to my mother. Petitioned filed:Aug. 18,1988

Petitioned approved: Dec. 24,1988

My sistes bday,:nov.6,1986.

visa became available, feb 2010.

hope somebody can help me

Sounds like she is 23, but according to my calculations she would not.

MAYBE. There is some quasi rule , a bit more current, that defines what a 'child' is. IIRC, even over age 21, the daughter would qualify.

I can't recall the exact 9FAM reference, but it's recent, within the last 3 years.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
