Hi

I just want to make sure that can I do early biometric in San francisco center?...

because I am in another state(moved after filing)and I don't want to change my contact address in uscis right now and I can't take a leave from work on my actual biometric date.

but I get a leave 10 days before my actual date.

So I am wondering if they really let us do early biometric.

I need to book air ticket now if they do...

Anyone did early biometric in SF????

You have 10 days from moving to change your address.

Aside from that, there is a spot on your biometrics interview letter to fill in the date you want your appointment. You can risk a walk-in and if they don't let you write in to change your appointment date to something better for you.

Good luck.

#1 I would counsel you to go to a less-used center,

but it looks like there may not be one near you if

the closest one is one you would have to fly to.

#2 My wife went to the assigned center 9 days

before her appointment and had a doctor's note

saying she would have a foot operation 3 days

before the appointed date. They didn't ask to see the note

and took her right away as the center was not busy.

#3 I would suggest to go to the SF center and if they

are a busy center, I would hope they would take you

considering your circumstances. You will show them

proof of residence and that will show that you had

more than the usual difficulty getting there, and if

you still think that's not enough, you may ask your

employer for a note explaining that it would be very

difficult to have you absent on the assigned date,

given the critical nature of your work (or whatever

is reasonable to your employer). If your employer

refuses to let you go on the assigned date they

should cut you some slack by writing the letter, if

they value you as an employee.

#4 Get there at opening time and say you're prepared

to wait all day. I don't see how they can turn you away.

#5 If all the respondents that went to the SF center

were turned away from attempted walk-ins, I don't

think anything I have said would help you, but I'm

optimistic that this won't be the case.

I did an early walk-in in San Francisco a couple weeks ago. I got there at 7:45am and had to wait outside until the office opened at 8am (there were 6 people in line ahead of me). Right before the office opened, a woman came out and asked us to take out our IDs and appointment letters before being let in. She quickly glanced at my ID and letter without reading the actual appointment date. When my number was called up, I didn't even have to mention that I was doing an early walk-in and no one else said anything about it either. As long as you have an appointment notice, they do not seem to worry about the actual date on it. I was out of there by 8:30am.
