Question on opening Visa envelope and CFO

The CFO needs to stamp the Visa and also the visa number is required for CFO registration form.

How can we get the visa out of the sealed packet to do this?

It says only to be opened by immigration.

Please let us know we have CFO in a few hours.

1/19/10 - NOA1

2/18/10 - moved and changed address on USCIS site

2/19/10 - touched

Your question confuses me... your visa is in your passport. Why would your passport be in the sealed envelope? If it IS this is a HUGE error. If it's NOT, then check your passport, the visa will be stuck on a page of your passport.

It's in the plastic wrap - pull your passport out, and just don't open the yellow envelope.

Per the embassy, you can remove the clear plastic bag -- and free the passport. Just do not disturb the seal on the brown envelope with the corner cut off. Some folks cut a slit in the clear bag only big enough to remove the passport, but you can take it off entirely. Not an issue.
