I think June's turning out wquite nicely for us VJers (barring the annoying SSN and GC issues which will also get resolved I'm sure)...

So I finally got through to a supervisor at O'Hare CBP. He took down my name, alien # and flight information. He called back in an hour and said I was in fact updated in the SAVE system, that they had sent out the POE package on May 21st and now it was all upto USCIS.

I am going to kick some serious USICS-butt on Monday. ####### is up with them?

probably just an overload or something. but good to know that you've already been processed and things are in progress...friggin uscis! :bonk:

Good luck to the rest of the June interviewers! let's end this month the way we started it! :thumbs:

July 30, 2010 - Received the Green Card after receiving 4 welcome letters! USCIS see ya later!

So I just got off the phone with USCIS. I spoke to an actual officer this time. She said that USCIS received my package from O'Hare on June 7. And that I should hear from them in another week or two. Our service center is apparently Texas. So at least, that's progress. I was afraid my POE packet had been lost or misplaced. Now I'm going to call SSA.

awesome! at least the f*****n uscis :bonk: has turned out to be of some use this time. good to know that they will actually tell you the status of the GC rather than spit out some form of preconceived answer...after the horrible experience dealing with those a-holes during the i-130 petition process, good to know that they're bit more informative at this stage.
