I noticed in the email with the interview appointment there was no information included about the medical. Does that come from the embassy? How long until we can expect that information? Finally, will that be emailed to both of us or to just my husband? Thanks!

My letter has information about the medical. it says to bring the results to the interview if they are not directly sent to the embassy. so you should probably double check and get your medical asap! :star:

If you didn't submit your 2009 taxes to NVC, be almost rest assured they will be asked for at the consulate. Carry them!

yeah i JUST sent him his package of ALLLLL the paperwork. i sent the 2009 tax stuff if they ask. so we should be covered!!! (L)

Ok vjers,,,so i was looking at some of the things my consulate is requesting if you have a

joint sponser. The only one that is rocking my head is that the joint sponser has to write a

letter stating she is co sponsering with petitioner for beneficiery.Does anyone have a sample

letter of this nature that i can show my cuz who is joint sponser?[Petitioner and joint sponser

reside at same address]

Yes, I did go back to re-read the letter and saw the short mention of the medical. I was thinking my husband would get a correspondence from the embassy but it doesn't look like it. Ok, so he has to get the medical done in Casablanca but it's not exactly close to home. I'm thinking he can get it done when I fly in (which will be 2-3 weeks before the interview...haven't 100% decided yet) because I fly into Casa. How long does it take for the doctors to compile the results and either send it to the embassy or give it to the beneficiary? Basically, would 2 or 3 weeks ahead of the interview be enough time? Thanks!

Hey there what I know and have seen in our countries they only get the interview letter. They used to send the list of places to go, now they refer to the website for listing. My husband called today to schedule, it depends on if he has record of any of his shots taken, if not the cost will be extra for the extra shots they get. There is no problem in waiting for you if thats what you decide to go. The medical I know in Cairo is a one day process. Sometimes two. The results are givin to your husband in the envelope that is not to be opened untill the interview. Hope this helps.

every consulate/embassy and country will vary a little.

some places take weeks to get the results, some can have them in 1 or 2 days.

better look up what clinics are certified for the medical exam, check those places' websites, and make some phone calls.

you should have him do it as soon as he can if the results are valid for a few months. you don't have to be there when he does it. it can take a few hours, and you would be stuck in a waiting room twiddling your thumbs. probably best if he does it before you are there so you guys get more "you" time.

Thanks Sandra and Tokyo. It's not so much about me being there. I agree, I don't need to be sitting in the waiting room just hanging out. But it's because Casablanca is quite the trip for my husband and I'm hoping to minimize the number of times he has to travel there. He already has to go there to pick me up when I fly in so I was just thinking if we could do both in the same trip...maybe he can even do the appointment before my plane lands. I just wanted to see if that would give him enough time for the results. Also, because AP is a very real possibility in Morocco I don't want him to do the medical too early and then have him have to rush if we end up being in AP a while or have him have to do the medical over again. So, the closer to the actual interview date, the better. I think I'll just have him call the doctors on the list on the website and have him ask them how long it takes and go from there.

Thanks again, it helped!

So, I'm compiling my evidence and I've had to cut my phone bills to from August 2009 only. Each of my bills are like 10 pages long (or more). Never realised just how much I text and call people. :bonk:

I'm busy doing our photos and adding captions. I'm thinking only 10 in front of recognisable landmarks so I end up with 5 pages of pics. Do y'all think that's enough?

Congrads on June interview. I just talked to the nvc and they said that I would be scheduled for interview in June as well. My case was completed on may 1 so I will have to wait a bit. Can somebody tell me how long it took to get an interview date after approval? Is it quick or does it take a long time? Any response would help thank you

i have a few of my house phone bills, my man has his cell phone ones. but only a few months worth since we have only been apart since december. but i only included the page that showed stuff to japan. not the local stuff.

i also just printed 100 photos. a few years of us together at different places and with our friends etc.

so hopefully we both have enough!!
