My fiance ticked off the I intend box. Here's what he wrote:

"I intend to cover any and all costs associated with my fiancee coming to live with me here. We plan to marry within the 3 month period so all costs will be covered by up until that date and thereafter."

Is it the number 11 question in Form I-134?

I've read that it has become an issue to some. Just to make sure, let him mark the I intend box.

Unless things have changed there should be no issue with checking the "I do not intend" and writing below "N/A - K-1 Visa process for permanent residence".

We went through Vietnam which is a particularly difficult consulate and had no issues.

I am not making any "specific" contributions. The intention of a K-1 visa is that your fiance(e) will marry you and you will support her. Many people chose to check this either way and I have not heard of any K-1 issues with either. Typically the issues are related to income and the petitioners ability to meet the requirmenets established in that regard.

May be best to check with others who have recently gone through your particluar consulte to see what the current trends are among the CO's.

You were not clear in your OP - you only said the K-1 - so I looked at the I-129F.

If you talking of the I-134 - your answers are given above...

They also want to determine whether or not the petitioner and the beneficiary have a legitimate relationship. What better way to show the consul officer that love is truly in the air than to take the opportunity to write an answer to question #11 on the I-134 that would read something like this:

My fiancée and I love one another. I intend to marry her, and to be married forever to her. I intend always to provide for her financial needs and i will support her needs beyond room and board.

It worked for us.

Sounds perfect That is why I always recommend that the petitioner check with others through a specific consulate or embassy. I was not aware that there is some past history on this topic in Manilla. Great advice and I stand corrected!

I got a bit sad on why he answered it like that but now I'm ok coz he explains how he understands the questions,and he said he will give in all his power all what he can give to me and his daughter even his life that makes my heart happy
