Hello,

I am 2 months and a half away from being able to file my removal of conditions application. and i just found out that my I-485 was touched and updated online, although the message has not changed. so i am a little puzzled why would this happen. I hope there is someone who experienced the same situation and who can share it with me.

Thanks

My only guess would be that they are touched when the systems automatically sends a reminder by mail.

I got it some months prior to ROC

Every time an officer grabs your file, and scans your barcode it gets touched.

Hopefully it means that your case is being reviewed and maybe a decision is approaching good luck!!!

Some members reported that their I-485 and I-765 were touched prior to or after ROC approval.

I guess my files were reviewed.

WOW, it seems like i am not the only one around here. it makes me feel good at least that i am not, it would be worrying if i was the only one. well who knows, you never know what to expect with the USCIS, but hopefully its just a routine procedure to issue a reminder.

Thanks a lot guys for sharing, lets keep posting any updates if something comes up.

I understand that touch is created when IO review a file and scan barcode, but it's just weird because it's the I751 in play here not the I485 and I765, anyway i hope it's good sign, any more people had the same situation and what happened? I really would love to know why they touch the aos and ead

I'm sure it's pretty common. I just never bothered to check - didn't keep my AOS case number handy after he'd gotten his 2 year GC. Honestly never saw a reason to look at it.

same thing happend to me. I have filed i751 november 2009 and my i765 was touched on 4/18 (sunday!)... im thinking this is something automatic since no one should be looking at our files on a sunday...

Aug 2001 - Enter US on B2 visiting visa

July 2002 - Enrolled in school, obtained F1 Visa

Sept 2007 - Married

Nov 2007 - File for GC

Feb 2008 - Interview - approved

Mar 2008 - received 2 year conditional GC.

11/30/2009 - Applied for ROC

12/15/2009 - received NOA, NOA date 12/10/2009

1/15/2010 - FP appointment

1/17/2010 - LUD

4/18/2010 - Previous I765 LUD

Still waiting...

Oh snap. why didn't I think of that? That will make a lot of sense. If there aren't much activity on the financial evidence during the 2 years, they will know those debit/credit accounts were merely opened as a smoke screen to get approval.

Curious question.... why would anyone bother to check their 485 and 765 during ROC?

im guessing most ppl create an account on uscis.gov and all their past and current filings will show up under one account.
