Ok the embassy just called Gavin & told him to come in tomorrow-as some of you know-we are still waiting for his court transcripts. I called & asked why they would want to see him if he doesn't have them..............they said that everything seems to be in order & that he may be getting the visa!!!!!

I am in shock! I hope to God that this isn't some sort of mistake. I aksed her over & over if there would be a problem because he had the drunk & disorderly convictions but no court record & she said "it was a misdemeanor-there won't be a problem. I am thinking that if they were going to require a waiver-they would have to see the court records first-right?????

opinions? (only positive ones-just joking)

I'm sure it's going to go great! Good luck to Gavin tomorrow!!!

 Joey

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Good luck out there!

Well, the worst thing that can happen is that he will have to come once again :) But if I had to bet some money on the outcome of the interview, I'd say that he is going to get his visa :)

That is what he is afraid of(that this is some kind of mistake)................but she assured me that it will be sorted tomorrow(God I hope she is right). I just can't believe he took the day off work to go & get those records & they don't want to see them afterall

she said misdemeanor-so I am praying that means "no waiver".

No harm in him going along and see what they want. Best case scenario he gets the visa, worst case it means another trip when he gets the court records. If he gets the visa, you be careful!! We don't want you breaking more bones while celebrating!

Best of luck to Gav!

My friend just said the same thing  If I am celebrating-it will be somewhere without stairs :P

I hope they aren't making a mistake & bringing him in for nothing, after speaking to the woman myself I felt pretty confident. She made it seem like someone went over his file & decided they can proceed without the court papers...............fingers are crossed for good news-we deserve it!!!

Good Grief!!!

I've NEVER seen a case with so many freakin' twists and turns! Colleen, are you ready for some heavy medication yet? I would be on some if I were you!

I REALLY hope this all gets resoved tomorrow! I will be watching....what time do they want him to be there? I'm going to be on top of this PC watching for an update.

Big hugs to you! At this point I don't know how you are hanging on...

I know!!!! The drama.....................could be because Gavin is an actor ;) I don't know how we are hanging on either-Love??? sheer determination??? We're mad????? :P

He rec'd the call & was really confused. He explained to the woman that he just orderd the court transcripts, and that it could take a few more weeks. She says "don't worry about those-we need you to come in anyway". He calls me in a panic-I call the embassy in a panic. I explained to her that I wanted them to see the transcripts, so they would know that one of the convictions was thrown out. She eluded to the fact that he will be getting the visa-maybe someone reviewed the case & decided to approve it??? I have no idea.

Never a dull moment in the lives of Gavin & Colleen-that is for sure!!! I will be self-medicating tonight with a few beverages!!!

Anyhow-he will be there at 1:00 tomorrow(8:00 here). I will let you know first thing tomorrow!
