Visa to anonother country while waiting for CR-1

Hello - am wondering what happens when my husband in Ghana is invited to go to the UK to visit with family and maybe do a little bit of work. We are in the middle of the loooooooooong wait for the interview date for Ghana. Will going to the UK void my petition to bring him here? If I am thinking its ok, and if he gets to go to the UK, he goes and when his interview date comes up, he justs has to go back to Ghana for the interview, correct?

If he gets to go to the UK, then I can go there for a visit too w/o a visa and will at least get to see him again....

09/xx/2010 - Case expedition request. Serious illness.

11/05/2010 - Expedition Request granted.

11/23/2010 - Interview

12/29/2010 - Visa GRANTED! Return on 1/7/2011 to pickup

01/07/2011 - Visa Picked up.

01/12/2011 - on plane in route to USA!

01/13/2011 - Arrived in USA.

Hi,

There is no reason why he can't travel while his petition is pending, have a nice visit!

I'm moving your thread from working and travelling prior to getting a greencard to the CR1/IR1 forum :)

Going to the UK will not affect the petition here in the US, as long as he returns for the Interview...

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

Totally unrelated, unless he stays 6 months or more in the same country - if that's the case - a police clearance certificate is needed.

Seriously - has NO effect on the current petition.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
