Still hanging in there... just emailed CSC about my RFE

Icey - I'm worried that you won't get any help from the CSC email guy (McClennan)

If not, please please please:

1) Find your senator or congressman’s website.

2) Go to the section for Constituent Services.

3) Download the privacy form.

4) Fill out all the relevant case information.

5) FAX it to their office.

6) Call to follow up. Find out the name of the specific person assigned to your case and get their direct phone number.

If your senator doesn’t have a privacy form on the website, call them directly.

Good Luck!

Has anyone been able to get the direct phone number of the officer who is working on their case, and if so, have they gotten a responsive kind of answer, as opposed to the canned email messages from McClellan, or the canned answers from the operators at the USCIS number? If there is hope of actually getting the number of someone knowledgable about my case, I'm all over it! Privacy form, here I come!!!

And.. did you get the phone number of Officer Issued??? I don't have to call them anything (probably better if I don't :hehe: ). Just want to get some straight info on what the heck's going on with my case. :bonk:

Sleepless - I think you should go directly to a senator - trying to call will most likely be irritating and aggravating and I'm sure you've had enough of that. Good Luck.

You won't be able to pull a phone number out of them. Direct contact with someone in the service centers is strictly forbidden. I somewhat agree with this, if they had to respond with everyone asking them for information those doing the processing would spend more time answering questions than actually processing.

I do think there should be a somewhat more direct process for those of us who have been in the pipeline for an unreasonable amount of time.

As to CSC email, I posted in the service center area that it looks like they aren't answering emails anymore.

7-6-2005 Sent paperwork to CSC

7-13-2005 NOA-1

12-27-2005 Called about out of process

1-3-2006 Response sent

2-3-2006 Called because response never made it, started out of process again

4-5-2006 Called again because nothing has happened got the response "nothing has changed"

4-11-2006 Emailed CSC

4-12-2006 Emailed Congressman

4-13-2006 Got response from CSC stating that the file has been requested for processing (Hopefull yeah!)

6-30-2006 Exchange email with CSC--file is being processed contact again in 30 days

7-30-2006 CSC no longer accepts email

8-21-2006 NOA-2 Fantastic!

9-8-2006 NVC supposedly sends to Embassy

10-4-2006 Embassy doesn't have paperwork yet?

Good Luck!

Should I go ahead and contact my Senator also? My NOA1 is dated June 14th (I mailed it May 30th so it was the pre-IMBRA form). My case has not been touched and when I called to request a new RFE to be mailed, I was told none was ever sent. The person couldn't answer whether they have mailed off all IMBRA RFE's but I remember reading some of the threads that stated USCIS was going to have all IMBRA RFE's mailed off by the end of June. I'm wondering if they decided (assumed) that any application after the new form became available would not need IMBRA RFE, so now I'm in limbo? I'm just not sure when it's time to take action.

That would be correct sir.

Unless of course, they are late in the "batch release". That has been the pattern so far. It always started at around 9 Pacific time. Who knows???

CSC sucks... that is a certainty!!!!!!!

Ok.

So basically, no approvals on August 2nd, right?

Steven and Jinky, the answers I've been getting is that until they start processing the form they won't send an RFE. For those who were approved and had to come back they've been processed.

Keep up with the processing dates on the website but I wouldn't expect any real news for up to 120 days or so.
