Jannah, manipulative people drive me batty. I really cannot read what you just wrote and not want to call USCIS. The fact that he did this to you and another woman just pushes my buttons. I NEED HIS NAME, seriously I'm not playing!!! I will call after you go through your interview and receive the GC with your current husband and "inform” them what he has done. It's not right that people abuse the system so blatantly and get away with it. I understand that you do not want to cause anyone any pain, but DID HE CARE ABOUT THE PAIN HE WAS CAUSING YOU AND YOUR CHILDERN? NO!!! It’s people like him that make it so hard for people like us to go through this whole immigration process.

I WANT HIS NAME CHRISTINE... I’m being so serious right now.

That is so true!!! Please relax, you don't need criminal background!

I think Christine will let them know and everything will be as everybody deserves.

Its a gamble, but maybe your right, maybe waiting for the whole thing and then submitting it all together could have taken later then getting a RFE and submitting it now. Well be sure to go to a civil

Yeah that's why we set an Infopass on Tues but it is less frustrating now since I know I could finally work in a few weeks time since my EAD approval. Goodluck on your upcoming interview Bessa ^_^ Please share your interview experience too ^__^ I'll be using it as my guide =D

lol just concentrate on doing good! Whatever you remember will be fine, stay calm and take a breather so u don't get mixed up on anything! :D :D

I've just got my employment autherization card yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

alhamdulellah everything is going good, right and in a good pace too.

Adjusting from J1 visa:

03/29/2010: got married.

04/10/2010: sent AOS package( I-130, I-485 & ...)

04/12/2010: Package received at Chicago lockbox.(Day1)

04/16/2010: check cashed.(Day4)

04/16/2010: all forms touched(Day4)

04/20/2010: 3 NOAs received.(Day8)

04/28/2010: Received 2 letters for Biometrics Appointment to be on 5/21/2010 !!! Too far away.

05/03/2010: I-130 updated.

05/06/2010: walked in and did my biometrics.(Day24)

05/07/2010: I-485, I-765 updated.

05/21/2010: original biometrics appointment.

05/24/2010: received interview letter.(Day42)

06/08/2010: I-485 was touched.

06/21/2010: EAD card production.(Day69)

06/23/2010: I-130 & I-485 are touched.

06/25/2010: EAD card production ordered AGAIAN!!!!

06/30/2010: Interview day(Day78)APPROOOOVED(Alhamdulellah):)

06/30/2010: Approval notice sent for EAD card :)

06/30/2010: GC production ordered. yaaaay :)

07/02/2010: received my EAD card Alhamdulellah again and again :)

07/07/2010: Welcome letter ; approval of my I-485

07/08/2010: Letter stating approval of the I-130

07/17/2010: I received my GREEN CARD.

Just to tell you I'm in Hawaii and no cop arrested me nor even asked for my EAD!!!

this Island is beautifl, I'm so glad i can enjoy it!

But juts to let you know that travel within the US with ead is totally fine!

Congrats DR... Im mad about Brazil and even more pissed that my college "forgot" to mention that they'll be closing today- they put July 4-5th on the website, so I just wasted my time :angry:

Here in CA, they don't issue a DL without ssn#. Damn, strict. I went there 2 days ago with EAD but turned away. So I'm waiting for SSN. Welcome notice also didn't work, either. My waiting is still ongoing. :crying: :crying:

yes but with EAD you CAN apply for SSN, then you need to show SSN and EAD to fil out the form for DL, then, if your DL from your home country is readable and you have it for several years, then they will issue you a temp DL while you wait for the driving test.

At SSA they told me to come 2 days after I applied to give me a temp SSN card with my number on it. with that i could apply for DL. I received my original SSn card within a week.

Yes I do plan on being 100% honest with them and taking as much proof as I can.

You are right Krys it is ppl like him that make it hard for those of us trying to have our families and enjoy our lives!
