We got rejected with an early morning walk in as well. I think the best time to go is Wednesdays in the afternoon. I know a few ASCs will allow walk-ins on Wednesdays since they dont schedule appointments then.

Sorry for your bad luck. Try to go to another office.

As I noticed also USCIS update a lot of their service. Lately more people get rejected. May be they will deny all of them soon.

I'm waiting for my interview letter and it's already 27 days. Atlanta is pretty busy... :(

That is quite a long time, seems they are getting backed up. Maybe your EAD will move faster!

So guess going to another office other that the one listed is an option? yes i will try! :innocent:

thank You i will try to go this Wednesday but not such early morning then. I am just wondering if I can try going to a different office which is in a different borough but by public transit prob same travel time away.

I dont think i will go back to that office I went to today, cuz that woman said definitetly no walkins and from past govt office experince these office work differently depending on the borough, Ex city clerks office that my friends got married at in borough of queens, NY was horrible, not helpfull not nice and misinformed. We got married at new office of city clerks in Manhattan, NY which was fully automated, shorter wait times, more helpful and fully informed. So i hope this USCIS Manhattan office will be able to do it wed around 10 maybe?

OK keeping my fingers crossed again... hope this wont be a disaster. If they take me thats great, if not guess I will have to wait the 2 weeks and go to my appnt and then they can kiss my a**! hehe atleast thats reassuring that they HAVE to take me then!

It seems like USCIS updated the processing times for district offices. Looks like all offices went from 3 months to 6 months. The EAD card processing time however came down to 11 weeks from 3 months.

Well Bes, seems like you are one step ahead in the game.

haha well thats good and bad.... I am really waiting for an EAD so i can get a SS number Drivers license and Car! yayz!!

but its odd how that works.. the proccesing time increased by 3 months and the EAD was cut down by a week?! ummm ok.. lol

So I think I'm getting somewhat anxious. Seems like next time I'll hear something is going to be around july. Some of you who filed early on April already started hearing about interviews. I got an RFE for the I-485 about my medical examination and USCIS received the "missing" info on May 11. At my case status it says that my case has been transfered to national benefits center and that I should be hearing from them within 60 days.

Seems like I won't get my ead or green card until july and even probably august. Any thoughts?

[May 11, 2010]: Medical form received. Case transferred to Natl. Benefits Center

[May 07, 2010]: Sent RFE, medical form. Asked my civil surgeon to print another form.

[May 05, 2010]: Biometrics appointment

[April 27, 2010]: Received RFE, they lost medical form

[April 19, 2010]: Received biometrics appointment

[April 19, 2010]: Received NOAs for I-130

[April 16, 2010]: Received NOAs for I-485, I-765, I-131.

[April 12, 2010]: Checks cashed. Case established on USCIS website. [Day 9]

[April 12, 2010]: Received text messages and eight emails from USCIS with MCS number [Day 9]

[April 5, 2010]: AOS package received and signed by USCIS [Day 2]

[April 3, 2010]: Sent AOS package to Chicago lock box - I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, G-1145

[March, 2010]: Married

I think you are wrong :D They always give you the maximum timeframe. I think in less than a month you will get touches if any. And will receive your interview letter after. It all depends on your city. Some people get an interview letters as soon as 12 days. I really hope you will be lucky and will get it in a month.

I tried to to do a walkin where they scheduled me for an appnt which was the USCIS office in Queens , i believe its woodside queens and they told me they dont do walkins. I will try to go Wednesday to the dwnt Manhattan office for a walkin cuz i heard they do walkins on wed.

hmmm I logged on today and I see that the I130 and I765 was touched on the 17th. The I485 was not touched though since the 05/05. I wonder what they were doing with those two forms, if they needed any extra documents or info it would be in RFE right? Because right now it still says Initial Review.

Well i see that some of you had only two forms touched out of the three like Alla. But you had 1485 and i765 touched first.

hmmmmmmmmm I would love to know if they actually did something or just opened and closed it just to make me crazy :help:

keeping my fingers crossed this is some positive progress
