your letters of intent should have already been included in the petition package... I don't understand the question of "wait a month after sending our petition?" There is no waiting a month for something that already has been sent

YMMV

Are you talking about your updated letters of intent to marry? If so, they should be dated within a month of your interview date...

Hope this answers your question.

Agreed with payxibka. I dont understand the question. What are you asking about waiting for?

If your petition has been sent, and you included all the information, then you will for sure be waiting for a number of months.

Please clarify!

Are you sure there wasn't anything else in your petition that substituted for "intent to marry" letters?

I mean we included our personal statements, in which we said we want to get married, so I'm sure they counted those as "intet to marry" letters.

I'm still not quite sure what you are asking. In your first post you indicated your U.S. fiancé filed your visa petition on 02-Mar-10 a day after leaving the PI, but then in your last post are asking if you should wait a month after he returned from his visit to file it?

Has it been filed with the USCIS already? Or are you asking if you two "should" have waited a month after having visited you? Not sure what bearing that has on the Letters of Intent.

I don't think we are quite sure what the issue is. If you can write it in Tagalo I'll have my fiancée respond back to you. Maybe we're just losing it in the translation. I don't know how much you do or do not know about the process, so that might save us a little time.

letter of intent to marry should be signed before sending it, together with all the documents and evidences to the USCIS upon application for the K1 visa. you dont need to wait for a month to send it, it should not be a problem at all for as long as everything is ready to be sent.

thanks for all you guys!

All you're waiting for after signing the petition is the NOA2 - approval of the petition - how long that will be can vary.

There is no waiting period BEFORE sending your petition - it's just good that you have a history of in-person meeting(s)

to show for that when you do. If he was visiting with you for 6 months, it would have been perfectly fine to send in

the petition after being together 1 week, 1 month or more. You wouldn't have had to wait for the 2 month visit to

be complete, because you could explain & document in the interview that the total time of the visit was 2 months.

I assume the letter was signed and sent with the petition, so there should be no problem.

Remember, follow the VJ guides and read the instructions provided with each form and you will be OK.

If in the petition ONE of the letters of intent was missing,

there is no waiting period for sending it in to complete the application.

Remember to quote your NOA1 number when he sends it in.

There would ultimately be an RFE if one was missing.
