The Embassy just sent my husband a letter and this is whats written on it

dear applicant:

this office regrets to inform you that it cannot issue you a visa at this time under section 221(g) of the immigration and

nationality act. this section prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with all of the

provisions of the immigration and nationality act.

in order to complete processing of your visa application, please provide the following:

your case is complete but we need to undertake some additional administrative processing. we will contact you as

soon as that is complete.

you may send the reguired documents to the american consulate General with a copy of this letter through ARAMEX

(based in ramallah with offices throughout the west Bank and Gaza strip), shaal or any other courier service. you may

also drop your documents at the american consular section reception Monday through friday between 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.

Do NOT FAX any of the reguired documents. ALL foreign language documents must be accompanied by an english

translation done by a competent self-certified translator in order to be acceptable.

if your submission meets the reguirements for issuance of an immigrant visa, this office will ask you to submit your passport.

if your submission does not meet all of the reguirements for issuance, you will be given written instructions on reguired

additional steps.

WARNING:section 203 (e) of the immigration and nationality Act reguires that your aoolication be cancelled if you fail to

take appropriate action within one year after a visa denial under section 221(g).

Why does it say sent required documents? They dont need anything else correct?

Muslimqueen,

It doesn't necessarily take that long. It depends. There are some people on here that have been fortunate with very short AP's. Hopefully you are one of them.

Call the embassy or DOS and ask them if you are in Washington DC name checks or if you are under internal processing. If you are able to talk to someone at the embassy, ask them how long they expect it to be.

I don't know if they accept phone calls. I know that the Jordanian embassy does not, but I see from reading post here..that many of the embassies do.

Try to keep busy and keep your chin up.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

i hope it is quick for you. i hope i am not about to get into AP. i am also in jeru consulate. needed 2008 tax returns. turned them in. waiting for movement...

I dont know i hope its fast cuz my husbands friend and also my sister in law in jeru consulate were put in AP and only lasted 15 days. And my sister in law had to turn in some missing documents and after she sent them after 15 day they called her.

So im thinking maybe they put it under AP till they put everything together cuz of the documnets i turned in. I hope so and next week they call us.

salam, we got the EXACT same letter... this is what happened with us: at the interview they put us in AP because they needed proof of domicile, after we sent in the proof of domicile they sent us the exact same letter that you were sent. then it took them about 45 days to issue the visa. just hang in there and be strong, inshallah u will soon be done. BTW, at ur interview did they ask for any more info? im trying to see what is going on with your case

My fiance got the same letter. When he called they told him that the case is complete and they will contact him once the processing is done. So, I am waiting as well and added myself to the AP tracker. We are in internal processing. The consulate just recently stopped emailing me. My fiance usually calls them and they tell him that we are still in AP.

My wife had her interview on Thursday (June 17) and she was told "We will get back to you." It seems we are also in AP. What happened with your case? Did you get more information?
