Yeah I almost feel bad, making you guys more worried, everyone had such positive stories before me and then I wrecked the good roll the K1s were on.

Though I have to say, the male from the couple who were interviewed before me let out a huge sigh, presumably of relief, when they came out, he was waving an orangish slip around so I guess they got approved? Neither of them looked especially happy. Maybe I wasn't only one given a hard time yesterday.

sorry to hear about your interview, why did they give you a difficult time?

I think my fiance' just received a white sheet of paper with K-1 instructions. I have no idea what the orangish slip was. I guess we will wait until Monday to find out what happens next. Hopefully all goes well.

Eh, you'll be fine then. I'm sure if Kevin had been with me he'd have talked the guy into approving the visa on the spot. NO ONE wins an argument with my man! Once we get married I'm getting him the dang waiver and never going anywhere without him again.. lol.

Yeah a lot of people in the waiting room at the consulate had small children with them, and most of them were cranky.. lol.

Wooo! After a whirlwind experience at the bank in which I proved to be an EPIC amount of FAIL, I have our visa fee in exact change, and then I went to Staples and got photocopies of his birth cert and police cert, then stopped by Pita Nutso and got something DELICIOUS to eat (thought about running into Tim Horton's for some timbits, buuuut I can get those later LOL) and now I'm home. That's the most productive I've been ALL WEEK! All we have left to get is the mailer! :D

(I'm really, really trying to stay calm and collected. I don't think I'm fooling anyone. Are you guys fooled? LOL :D)

Glad you have exact change! Remember not to wait in the "long" line that comes off the elevator just after your fiance' gets called to one of the windows in the "back". Stand to the left of the window 14 barricade, and you will get called before the other people who are there just to pay their bills and get some other paperwork.

Yes, there's a 14A (where you will be standing) and 14B (where the long line is). If anyone tells you to get to the back of the line (they did to me) point out the sign.
