Most of us with interviews in May sent our P3s back in January/February. It's unlikely that you'll have a May/June Interview, but you never know!!! That's why they say not to make any real specific and finite plans (like booking things, etc) until you have the visa. :( I hope you get it your wish, though. :)

Ok, but I called today like 1:30 PM and they have my packet 3 into the computer just not assigned it an interview date yet....how long did you have to wait after they had yours in the computer to get a interview date attached?

I only contacted DoS once during the whole period of time, and that was after other people started getting their interview dates. We mailed off P3 on the 23rd of Feb and got our interview date on Mar 17th. That's about as narrowed down on a time frame as I can give you.

The last time interview dates were given was on March 17th, before that, it was January 20-ish... So everybody who had their Packet 3 logged in during that period (Jan-March) got their interview dates about 3 weeks ago. Some had waited 3 weeks, others closer to 2 months.

Do you know when all these members sent their packet 3s back to Montreal?

I just called today and heard that they've recevied my packet 3...but no interview date. I sent my Packet 3 completed April 6th....I'm hoping to get a May-June interview...everything for our wedding is booked for July 31....

We sent ours back the 18th of January, It was logged February 3rd. We got our interview date assigned on March 17th for May 19th. As it stands they seem to assign interviews every two months or so. Therefore it makes sense that the next ones assigned should be in a month (May 14-21).

So I should have caught that booking period then...May 14-21ish....

Maybe but your date for an interview will likely be July or August. But again, nothing is linear with Montreal. I was one of the later packet 3's from the Jan. to March group and the date for my fiance's interview is May 3. July 31 may be pushing it for a wedding given the unknown of when your actual interview date will be.

OH #######. It's like 11 PM EST, and my fiance just ran to Shoppers to get his passport pictures for his medical -- it's tomorrow morning! We both completely spaced it off! OOOOOOPS!!!!!:blink:

Make sure your fiance' has the long form birth certificate! My fiance' and I were going over his documents when I went up to visit this last weekend and he just had the Ontario "short form" that he used to get his passport and he thought that was good enough. We had to pay $30 to get it expedited in addition to the $35 for the original birth certificate long form in Ontario. Yikes. Glad we got that though. I want him to have that visa quick.

Yeah, serviceOntario.ca says the birth certificate was processed yesterday and sent out by courier today. It says it will take 3 to 5 days by courier so my fiance' should have his in his hand by Friday. I am so relieved. I was worried about it and didn't want to have a birth certificate hold up our immigration process.

We ordered his long form BC months ago! It showed up stupidly fast, and was even written by his mother! That seemed so weird to me, but OKAY! lol. It's his official one, so they better not have any problems with it.

Things are S L O W L Y looking up for us, too. His boss called him yesterday and said "Okay, here's the deal: You work Monday through Thursday from 4 - 8 PM. Good, good?" and he jumped all over it. It may only be 16 hours a week, but that's 16 hours a week more than he's worked lately, and money is definitely needed, lol. Can't believe our interview is less than a month away. I'm giddy and nervous and excited and anxious ...:bonk::dance::wacko: All at the same time.

yup that's the long form... or more like 2/3 of a page (and there is a detachable stub at the bottom).

I can hardly believe that Monday will be May 3 and my fiance' and I will be at the U.S. embassy in Montreal for his interview. All this waiting, paper shuffling, picture taking, doctor's appointments, appointments with police and bank officials, dealing with the IRS, and tonight my fiance' and I will go over our list of documents one more time before I fly out. We will go over it again on Sunday just to make sure we have EVERYTHING so that we can hear those magic words. I am so excited and nervous!
