I was reading through ... like i do everyday, and I found this in the Canada Section

Immigrant Visas

The U.S. Consulate in Vancouver no longer processes immigrant visa cases. All immigrant visa cases in Canada are handled by the U.S. Consulate in Montreal. If an immigrant visa application has been filed on your behalf and you have a specific inquiry, please call the National Visa Center at area code (603) 334-0700. We regret that the Consulate does not have the resources to accept inquiries on immigrant visa matters. If you are seeking general information regarding the immigrant visa process, you may phone the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) from within the United States at their toll free number by calling 1 (800) 375-5283. Canadian customers may now inquire about general immigration information at USCIS.Canada@dhs.gov in addition to obtaining immigration information at www.uscis.gov.

It was my understanding that the K-1 is an immigrant visa ... but Im in Alberta .. and I was under the impression that all K-1 was processed through Vancouver ( for Alta anyways ). There is no date that I could find for the above paragraph. My fiance is sending the package out next week and I want to make sure that we have everything done correctly.

I also started my immunizations. I got my first round of Hep A/B 2 days ago. The nurse asked me if I required a Hep skin test. Ive never heard of this, and it seems simple enough, but is is required for immigration purposes ?

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

they are specifically talking about cr-1. only Montreal handles those. a k1 is technically a Non-immigrant visa, even though you intend to get married and adjust status.

Here is the immunisation list: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/wk/mm5901-Immunization.pdf page 2 has the table.

I am 26 and Hep a/b was not age appropriate for me... I honestly don't think you needed to get them but you may as well finish that off now.

Read the table. Anything in yellow in you age group is REQUIRED, anything in purple is only if you have risk factors.

This is the CDN uscis approved site that most of us go to. depending on which province you are doing your medical, Dr. Seiden's is the only option. Montreal also has Medisys. Edited by Kimbear
