My fiance went for his interview on 02162010. He was approved he got a slip to pick up his visa on the 12th of March. He unfortunately did not get it. i called the consulate and a lady at the Accra consulate told me he is on Adminstrative processing and they will call him tomorrow. I really don't understand the whole thing. i asked if they need anything and she said no.. I am too through!

What ? That is so bizarre! What is it AP season?

I don't remember APs being so prevalent. I especially don't remember seeing this trend of approvals turning into APs. I hope your AP is speedy effieb. Keep the faith!

This may happen when they want to clarify security clearance and some times missing documents from their files.please take heart,they will finally give it to him.it is one of those things but quiet usual.it may take a little time and patience,he will get it if they finished whatever they they wanna check.Even though visa are issued in the various US embassy,it is the state department that clarify the issuance of the visa.He will surely get it when they finish everything.all the best of luck effieb

I am in the same boat. My fiance had a 2nd interview and they told him he was approved and just asked about some confirmation documents of our wedding plans. He submitted that and in 2 weeks time he got passport back with a letter stating that they have to finish the AP and they will contact him once that is completed. The worst thing about this is the wait. I am sure our SO's will get their visas soon, we just have to be a bit more patient.

there is nothing to worry about it . it is just typical precedure and it is just matter of time before your fiance get his visa .GOOD LUCK

Nwanyioma kedu, effieb everything should be okay don't worry. I did my interview in London 29/1/10 got a 221g to redo my Nigerian police report which i sent back on the 22/2/10

called on 4/3/10 and told it was being processed and would take minimum 15 working days which ended 17/3/10.

Called up courier first before calling embassy 19/3/10 only for the courier to tell me my package will be delivered 23/3/10.

Don't know if it was denied or not yet?

Its frustrating and makes you want to pull your hair out.

But in the end it should come out okay. hang in there
