Dear Mrs. W****,

Based on our phone conversation, I thought it would be helpful for you to know that the NBC confirmed to us that they received your response to the Request for Evidence.

Please see the additional response below that I received today from the NBC regarding the processing of I-129F petitions. I am very sorry the NBC reports that revisions to the new requirements are effecting their processing of I-129F petitions. We will continue to monitor this matter and will be sure to forward to you any additional information we receive concerning your case.

For more information on Congressman Price's positions on immigration, I would encourage you to visit his website at:

Sincerely,

Dave Russell

Subject: RE: Mrs. W***

Dave:

At the present time, the processing of I-129Fs received March 6, 2006 or after has been put on hold at the NBC because of revisions to the requirements of this application which are under review. We are unable to provide a date in which process will resume due to the complexity of the matter.

That's my point! Tell me something I haven't already gathered. What do they take us all for?

Thanks Sherry! I appreciate your support. I keep saying that I should just forget it because it stresses me out so much to get these responses and my I-130 is very close, but I always get flamed for saying that. I'm very happy that people are getting approved, but I'm very sad that no one, not even our Congressional people have a freakin' clue. If it's this way with immigration, I shudder to think of other governmental departments!

MrsWhizz,

Obviously, that was not the response you wanted to hear. After all, it is the government bureaucracy. But you are in a good shape with your I-130. I think, your K-3 will be cancelled out by your CR-1 anyway because of your speedy progress on the I-130 front.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

I guess I'm just peeved because this is the 3rd bought of email over 4 weeks I've had with this man only to get the same tagline I got months ago on the telephone!

Thanks simple! You have always been there too and I have always appreciated it. You aren't moving along so bad yourself!

I live in Cary NC, and also had contacted David Price's office for help on the USCIS case last year. His office wasnt too helpful or I should say he didnt have too much leverage with USCIS.

Try the office of senator Elizabeth Dole. Her folks are better/quicker in responding to immigration cases.

Oh Mrs.Whizz, stop frustrating yourself and start distracting yourself. Come away from the phone and emails for a few days and your K3 approval will come as a pleasant surprise. After all, how can we put any faith in letters with glaring grammatical mistakes? ("new requirements are effecting their processing") It's affecting, not effecting.

The mistake, I believe, is thinking that there's actually somebody who's in charge, driving the bus, has a knowable system, who's accountable, and who cares about the emotional imapct this process has on people. It's just a bunch of drones in cubes, pushing paper until they head home at 5:00. We're at the mercy of something we can't control. Like the weather, or the price of gasoline.

So sit back and give yourself a different focus for awhile. Because it's easy to become consummed by useless anxiety. Or to burn out from raging and flailing against the machine. Instead, have faith that you'll have a happy ending in spite of the delays. Our collective will for your speedy approval is more powerful than a politician.

Wow there are 4 of us in this journey living within a few miles of one another, I am in Cary too and work in RTP. I contacted Congressman Price's office and I am sure his aid was instrumental in getting our CR-1 corrected and approved at CSC. I also contacted Senator Doles office about getting our K-3 unstuck at NBC and never received any reply from them at all. I even resent a 10 page fax to Senator Doles office and they never bothered to reply. So much for her campaign promises that she would serve North Carolinians!!!!

Our K-3 was approved at NBC and send to NVC July 28 so I am hoping for your sake Mrs Whizz that the response you received from Price's office was just put out there by NBC to ward off the attacks.
