My mom has a book for that.

I think it's a bunch of hooplah.

Just eat the right amount of calories a day and exercise.

Everyone has their own preference right? I was just intrigued by the literature/readings. So I became curious if it does indeed work.

I heard about it a few years ago, but thought it was just another fad.

You might find this interesting:

You might put the blood type diet in the same category as those who worry about using cell phones, living near power lines, or using magnets to improve their health. In fact, the blood type diet is a fiction perpetrated on unsuspecting, desperate dieters who are looking for anything—anything!—to get them to lose weight.

So if the blood type diet is so unknown, what does it mean? It means that if you have one or another blood type that should influence what you eat and how you lose weight. The blood type diets don't just differ by letter (A, B or O), but even by Rh factor (the Rhesus factor, which is positive or negative). Believe it or not, the way that antibodies react against the Rh factor is supposed to influence how you lose weight!

So who is it that backs such bogus theories? For the most part, people who don't know very much, but are trying to differentiate their diet theories from the thousands of other bogus theories that are out there back it. The blood type diets that fall into this 'crock' category include

The diet for Rh factor type B (Rh positive or negative): It's unknown what effect Rh has, or even blood type—totally unproven in nutrition.

The blood type O diet, which is the universal blood type—and yet, there is no relation of blood type to how we process food or lose weight

The blood type diet is therefore one of the methods that is totally unproven in fact, and offers a false hope to those who are desperately searching for any way—other than medically-endorsed methods—to lose weight and keep off the pounds.

So what credence should we give to the blood type diets out there? Probably as much as hanging garlic around our necks to keep away vampires, or wearing copper bracelets to do something or other (unknown effect) or, for that matter, to read the horoscope in the newspaper each day. Blood type diets are useless, and should be avoided by serious dieters. Blood type and diet have nothing to do with one another.

Yup, vampires. I said vampires.

I believe in exercise and eating right is the best way to go as well. I just tend to ask questions when I am curious about things. It's hard to explain, but I enjoy hearing what others have to say.

I personally can tell you that I haven't been bitten once since I started wearing my garlic necklace.

 That's proof! Proof, I tell you! Not sure of what... maybe that global warming is reducing the vampire population of Antarctica. Or something like that.

You've come to the right place. You'll hear all the idiotic things many people have to say on OT.

Are you ready to start listening?

Seems people will buy anything.

What are you selling?
