So I moved over here to AZ Jan 2008 with my K1 visa and received the initial Green Card, good for 2 years, in November 2008.

What do I have to do to renew the Green Card and extend it to get the 10 year green card?

When do I have to do this? (I think our original interviewer said to send the paperwork in 3 months prior to the expiration - is this still the case?

What paperwork do I need?

How much money do they want now?

Thanks folks!!

Ooops! I thought that link went to the FAQ thread that is stuck on the top of the forum (since you mentioned it being a sticky) - guess that's what I get for not clicking on it!

And FWIW, I'm not a forum moderator - just a lowly 'organizer'. Pretty big difference actually!

I certainly didn't mean to belittle the OP. I just think anyone, esp. someone whose been on VJ for some time, should already know to read the guides, stickies and FAQs to clear up basic questions about the process - and then come here and ask questions around subjects which those materials do not make clear.

Yes, I must say :guides: first. Then come back and ask further question :)

ROC stage is Not "So confused!" if your case is straightforward ;)

Thanks....that wasn't made apparent enough in the previous posts. Sheesh. Just stop posting to a thread when an answer is already apparent....these threads would be sooooo much cleaner and I wouldn't have to comment in frustration to clutter them even more. Post if you actually have something to contribute rather than regurgitate something that has already been said. :bonk::ot2:

Your post seemed fine to me, Yurika & Jim. I can't count the number of VJ threads where the correct answer is given and people chime in with the same (or similar) advice. It's certainly no sin, at least not from where I sit.

exactly what i think too a lot of times people repeat others answers ,

so read the guide ( lol )

but my thinking is alot of times it prevents the poster to post the same question

to see if he gets diferant answers

most of the time new VJ members are getting addicted to posting and are not satisfied with one answer

so if they see 10 answers even if they are the same they got they fix ,

( yes I been there done that now am a full blowen VJ addict lol )

It's so easy. We did ours today. You have to fill out the forms, gather all the evidences and pay $545. Next is you wait, wait and wait. That's what we're gonna do. :star:

Scratch that. Hubby and I are gonna have wild sex for the next 3 months and then we won't have to wait. :P

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."
