Surprisingly enough they usually cash checks the next day while they take MONTHS to process applications :P

Also, you should get NOA1 in a week or so based on our statistics.

Hey fellow filers! Hows things?

Just been reading through a lot of topics today on the website.... We are so much looking forward to seeing any moves!

We updated our timeline and as a result we are able to see an estimated date of approval (NOA2)... I hope this estimate will be pretty accurate.

Finally, since it is not recommended to visit the US under the Visa Waiver Program, how do you guys will manage to see one another during the process? I got the chance to have lots of holidays left so we are setting up a visit every 6 weeks to either Europe or Canada...

This time away from our love is sooo tough at times...

Happy Sunday otherwise and let's hope for a very productive upcoming week at VSC :P

It's perfectly fine to visit under the VWP. I don't think anyone recommends against it per se. They more just caution that you MAY have an issue if the foreigner comes in saying they're visiting their fiance. Just a disclaimer kind of thing. Bringing a copy of the NOA1 would probably be helpful. (Are you the USC or the foreigner?)

I'm going to see my fiance in 11 days in Ireland for his brother's wedding. After that hopefully he'll come for a short visit in July for my family reunion and then the next time he comes will be on the K-1. I was over there for New Years as well, but before that it had been six months since I left Ireland. That was a long time!

Yes you are right no one says that it is not possible to travel under the VWP to the US. Having said that, I see the ton of questionning I started getting during my last two visits to the US, we decided not to take the risk to be denied entry to the US while our application is pending. Not sure it would make a difference but oh well that is how we will play the game!

Happy Traveling :)

I can't stop checking my online banking to see if the check's been cashed yet, lol. I need to chill out. It's only been a couple days. I just want the money gone and my NOA1 so I can relax and not think about all this for a while. We're not in a huge rush. We're just hoping to have him here by Sept/Oct.
