I'm an Egyptian and my fiance is American(my petitionairy) , he asked me for my middle name to fill in the I-129F form, we don't have middle names here, just about 4-5 names, should I use all names (except the very first and the very last) as my middle name then? Copy all names in my birth certificate?

I wonder if there are other Egyptians who dealt with that that can help me.

Thank you!

You can leave it (blank) - I don't recommend this, or

You can put N/A or you can put "NONE" -

The OP has multiple names, just not one that is specifically called "middle name". In those cases, I recommend they determine how many of the names are "Family Names" and enter those in the family name field. How they get the rest of their names on the forms doesn't matter as long as they are in order.

For people with only given and family names or a single given name, I recommend ---- over N/A or None. "None" is a "name" in some languages. It's pronounced Nawnay.

My husband too is egyptian and has multiple names. We put the exact names that are on his passport on all his documents so that way they will all match.

So that means on the applications, his first name, next name as middle, then the two next names as his last names. Once he comes here to the US then we can straighten out what names he will go by. First step is to make all the names match.

Good luck with your journey.

In our I-129F and the other documents of the original packet.. I wrote my first name, father's name as my middle name, then my last name. We attached a paper of my full name and other notes to the packet. We highlighted all the notes.. I did the same thing with packet 3. Everything went perfectly fine.

Good luck! :)

I am wondering whether to leave my fiance's blank as well. Is there a consensus on putting N/A? His middle name is his father's name, but it is not on his passport and I'm waiting to see if it's on his birth certificate, which we are waiting to get. If it is just his FIRSTNAME LASTNAME on the birth certificate as well, do I just leave middle name blank or put N/A? I don't want to put none for the reason mentioned above. :)

I suggest you better wait until you get the birth certificate, if has no middle name better to put N/A
