If you have already had all the vaccinations, the vaccination part needs to be filled out on the I-693 and sealed (transcribed by civil surgeon). If you don't yet have all your vaccinations, you need to get the rest to complete that part of the form

The medical performed overseas for the visa is only valid for 1 year. If your medical is still valid, you will need to get the vaccines transcribed onto the I-693. If your medical is over 1 year old, you'll need a full medical.

we had the same problem too,, i live here in dallas fort worth area and my husband had been calling those doctors available on our area but the person who answered on the phone always said the same thing, we need to have a medical again, when i have my medical 3 months ago in philippines, they will say who they will know i am healthy. my husband even read them through phone the instructions of I-693 the K non-immigrant visa part but still they won't transcribe the vaccinations. Is it ok to send the DS_3025 instead of I-693?

IF your vaccinations were ALL complete at the time of your medical, in the past, some people have been successful at using this strategy. Remember that the flu shot is ALSO required in the winter time, so make sure it was included. Just so you know, others have gotten an RFE requesting that the DS3025 be transcribed onto the I693, so you may get that and have to do the medical AND wait longer due to the RFE anyway. Make the decision which best suits your situation. We got the transcription.

me and husband are planning to go to the health center department here in dallas fort worth (since the civil surgeon here at my area wont transcribe the vaccinations) and take my DS-3025 so the staff there can figure out what othere vaccines i need. i had Tdap, MMR, and varicella vaccine way back in philippines. The certification given by the health department we will send it along with our DS-3025. I hope this will work.

How do you guys convince this civil surgeon that K1 who has less than a year medical wont need another medical?

Find a competent CS who already understands the rules, or bring the instructions, highlighted where it says K-1s only need vaccine transcription and try to convince them...etc.

we already done that, we went to minor emergency clinic one of the civil surgeon we saw in the USCIS web site, we printed the entire I-693 instructions and highlighted with yellow green that applicable to me, she even let me read it but the funny thing is, after i read it she read it herself and said to us that she had done this immigration process for about 9 years already thus i still need to have a medical exam again. I wonder if she understand what she is reading or what, my husband is so pissed off,, it take us an hour interrogating her and trying to convince her that i dont need another medical exam so what we did we just said thank you to the doctor and go home.

It IS frustrating, and I am not unsympathetic, but I don't know of any other recourse than to just get the medical.

We will be to this step very soon

I plan on printing as much info as I can from the USCIS website. There are instructions there for Civil Surgeons. Cant hurt to know what they are supposed to do before we go. Same for vaccinations. Doan only had the td so we (she) needs to get a bunch before we can apply for AOS. I also printed the vaccination requirments from the USCIS so they cannot try to give her something not required.

Its frustrating now because I cannot get her on my insurance till April 1st and we need to get these things done my mid March.

I feel all your frustration and wish I had already been through this so I could help rather than fumble through things. It seems like the people we go to dont even know the requirements to complete what we are going to them for!

We live in a very small city so I am wondering how knowledgable the Civil Surgeon will be and how much I have to learn so I can educate him haha!

Fortunatley for me, I noticed that one of the CS's (of the two) listed here in my hometown happens to be someone I know from years ago and th other is someone my folks know. Maybe that will help as there is some level of past connection.

Good Luck to everyone. If we find out anything helpful I will post it but as we are about a month away I'm not sure if I can be of any help here yet.

That's why we were so late in filing. But it turns out just getting him on my insurance wasn't the slow part at all! It was getting a doctor assigned. Getting the doctor's office to know he was assigned. Getting an appointment with regular doctor, getting an appointment with the CS.....UGH.

yes but look what it says on the i-485 instructions

on page 4 Number 8

8. Fiance (e)s -

"If you are a K-1 fiance(e) oe K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiance(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your form I-485."

in my understanding is that i only need to give them the ds-3025 the one that you received from the full medical examination. no?

Or am i missing somthing out?

and it doesnt say that it needs to be signed by a civil surgeon.
