sachinky - i was able to log-in last night. I called the AVR this morning, still the dreaded "We have review your packages ..." and we GIVE YOU an RFE just so you know how we feel when reviewing this countless documents that you sent in blah blah...

I do hope you have a LIF today. It's way overdue.

The bad thing is i had to complete a "self review" and i had to turn it in this morning. With this DS-230 fiasco, i totally overlooked a lot of the "good stuff" i've done last year. There go my raise for this year:( if they are giving one.

A guide to the DS230 packet for Indian beneficiaries:

--Cover sheet for Immigrant Visa Bill of $400.

--Two (2) Passport Size Photographs of Beneficiary (Beneficiary's full name, and date of birth are written on back of both).

--DS-230 Part 1 completed and signed by beneficiary.

--DS-230 Part 2 completed by beneficiary, unsigned yet, as per instructions.

--Original Marriage certificate

--Photocopy of Marriage Certificate

--Original Birth Certificate

--Photocopy of Birth Certificate

--Original Police Clearance Certificate from Local Police Station, Calcutta

--Original Police Clearance Certificate from Regional Passport Office, Calcutta

--Photocopy of beneficiary's Indian passport.

I put the case number on every sheet - except the cover sheet and the cover letter, since they are already on there! Just waiting for the police clearance to send it in.
