My ex-wife's parents spoke only Spanish.

It was nice visiting. I didn't have to pay attention to anyone.

My son's GF was from Argentina. The family lived in Tenerife. I went to a big family birthday party and nobody spoke English. Not a word.

I was sat next to son's gf's sister. She was quite yummy.

My son was sat across the big table and 5 persons down. He shouted " You will be ok with her Dad - her sister says she is a total slag and will go with anyone".

I don't know if this is a mixture of Thai & English

but instead of saying "noodle" she says "noo-don"

It's probably because those words were "borrowed" from English

and the transliteration of those letters or sounds to the Thai alphabet

carried with it the phonetic transformation into the sound that Thais

most felt comfortable with when reading that Thai character.

Are you being facetious or did you simply not understand the context? It's in reference to the bathroom. When someone says if they have to go number one or number two. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you must be a commie spy.

For some reason, I totally forgot about the bathroom #1 and #2 (*as I slap myself firmly on the forehead and say, "duh."*) and was thinking he was talking about some kind of communication system, perhaps even where the accent was placed on a word or some other "helpful" tip he'd taught his wife about communicating in America. #1 or #2 is definitely a great way to do it! The bathroom, that is.

In Russian, they say, "по большому" or "по маленкому" meaning in a big way or in a little way.

I know this is more polite, but I'm used to hearing stuff that isn't appropriate for VJ.

I like being able to speak enough of a foreign language for situations such as those. Whenever my father is droning on and on about something stupid, my wife will spit something out in Russian and he'll think she's said something like, "I must go to the rest room" when in fact, she just said something like, "your stupid father is killing me. Let's get out of here."

That would be my guess. It's common to have "common" mistakes when transliterating certain words or sounds. For a great example of this, check out A Christmas Story -

Ecuadorians from Quito, conversely, enunciate their words more fully, and this too carries over into their English. There's a difference between "I canno go to Nueva Yor" and "I cannot go to Nueva York," si ma... er, si man.

I disagree with your perspective. While there is no doubt that it is the "gender" of the sperm that determines the gender of the baby, men ejaculate equal amounts of male and female sperm. It's the condition (acidity) of the ####### more than anything else that determines which sperm reaches the unisex egg first. So while TBone supplied the sperm, it was Mrs. TBone that determined which sperm got there first.
