A neighbor of mine needs some advice but I don't know what to tell her. Her husband doesn't really know much about this either.

She came over on a K-1 with 2 little daughters. She also has 2 other kids that stayed in her home country because they were older and didn't want to come, so they're living with her parents.

She has her greencard now for about a year. She would like them to come visit her for a month or two this year but she doesn't want the embassy to think they're coming with intent to stay illegally. If she wanted them to emigrate, it would be easy to do it legally. Isn't that correct?

What's the best way to get them here for a vacation? A toursit visa? They are about 11 or 12 years old, I'm not sure. Is there a student visa, or is that only for college students to study here?

Any other advice?

TIA

Which country are they from? Tourist visa would probably be the easiest, but with mom and two siblings here, it will be difficult to prove non-immigrant intent.

She's from the same country as my wife, Costa Rica.

I would think that they know that she could get her kids here legally without much hassle, so why would she go through the trouble to get them here and be illegals.
