Case not resumed after RFE response received

According to USPS, my husband's RFE response was received by Lee's Summit, MO at 3:59 PM on Feb 03, 2010. The RFE was sent for a copy of the birth certificate, although he included it in the initial package, he was asked for it again (they probably misplaced it). So he just sent it in again with the original yellow RFE letter and until today, there has been no change in updates on the USCIS online tracking system for his I-485. He called the customer service hot-line and was told to wait until the end of next week to see a change in the update, and if he doesn't see it by the end of next week, to call again and then the operator said, "we will see what we can do".

I wanted to know if this was normal, it has been 10 days since they received the RFE response but they still have not updated the case/resumed processing....

Hi, its normal. Coz in my case it took them 2 weeks before they update my status. They got my papers Jan. 6 but they update it around 3 week of January. :)

I guess they are getting busier than the beginning of the year, I hope they update it within next week. Thanks for your response :)

my wife has been asked to resend my biodata informations again and she was told in the letter that it will take 14days to finalise the case from the day they receive the rfe and if they did not notify her she should call them in 60 days.

give them one more week and lets see how it will go.

Case processing has not resumed, no touches, nothing...

I don't know what is the proper course of action. It has been 13 days since the USPS confirmation that our RFE response has been delivered. Should I contact my congressman? Senators? I don't know what to do, this is so frustrating :(

Be patient. Yesterday was a holiday.

The person working your file has many cases in process at a time. And the online touches are not a great indicator of what is actually going on with your case.

I would say that after all she's been through, Marm has been patient enough. Just my opinion, though.
