I have no idea why yet, I got the text as I was trying on my wedding dress. Perfect timing! I'm almost 99% sure it's because we filled out something wrong, because neither of us have a criminal record, have been in the military, or have even been married before, and we've been together for almost 5 years so we had plenty of evidence. I'll be waiting by the mailbox every day now to see the reason and fix it and send it back ASAP.

But when I do find out I will let you know. :)

Sorry About the RFE. I hope you were able to finish trying your wedding dress. Keep up the spirit.

HELP NEEDED

My american fiance sent the 129F with his div cert without any stamps/seal..

He got the original decree by mail today.

Do u guys think he should call USCIS and see what can be done..or just keep quiet and wait for a possible RFE???

I may be wrong but my thinkiig will be for you to wait to see if it will be requested. Sending a document without reference may be of no good to you.

Goodluck

What the heck is going on with VSC. They must have forgotten they have jobs. Time for them to receive some encouragement. I will start with bribes and then work my way to threats. I won't even shave my back for the thong pics I am sending them. That will teach them. I want to see some dancing here.

Thanks for the support. We think it has to be something small.. we've been together for almost 5 years, we had plenty of evidence, so who knows. I'll keep everyone posted as to what it's about and then we hope we're in for an NOA2 after.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

I know how you feel, Liz! I don't think there's a rhyme or reason so I'm trying not to think about that. Easier said than done though! :)

HAHAHAHA!!

YEAH, sure.... no reason...just trying not to think about it.... LOL

SO, in SPITE of "trying not to think about it", I've noticed that the only VJ folks from Feb 2010 VSC I-129f filers *who have posted* that they have received their NOA2 are all Cubanos!! LOL.... SO, since I have NOTHING ELSE to do with my time (yeah, right!) I'm thinking up silly reasons why these folks are blessed enough to have their approval already!

Maybe they all sent a few really nice Cuban cigars along with their application (DRAT, if I'd just thought of that we could have sent some awesome Costa Rican coffee!! I PROMISE that would have given all of VSC enough energy to process everyone's file in RECORD TIME!! HAHA)

Then again, maybe those files went to the "only active" staff member at VSC and all the others have been on vacation?? Maybe that's the staffer who picked up some coffee on the way to work last week? LOL

OR, maybe the Cubanos are just organized enough to get on VJ here and post that they have been approved and others who were approved but have not updated are either not organized or are so busy out gathering documents for their K1 interview process that they do not have time to get online! Once again, maybe it's the coffee?? Cuban coffee is great too, from what I hear.

***JUST JOKING FOLKS, I KNOW there's no conspiracy and no way to predict who will be approved next. I'm just bored to tears and wonder why our file doesn't even show a TOUCH since we received our NOA1.********* :crying:

Back to bed with me, I'm supposed to be tucked in as I have a bit of a stomach virus. Just had to check the timelines one more time.

I thought our almost 5 years would be enough, too, but VSC is a fickle mistress. I'm sure yours will go smoothly. I'm 99% sure my RFE is a missed signature or something equally dumb like that, because if they honestly have the audacity to ask for more evidence that we've been in the same place at the same time while I sent them pictures and visa evidence of us being in: New Jersey, Washington DC, Denmark, England, and more.. they've got another thing coming.
