Rose and I filed our I-129 petition in February also. It was received at the VSC on Feb. 8th, and I have it registered in my portfolio online for email and text updates. No updates yet. Just figuring we are in for the long wait now. Good luck to all the other Feb. filers. :)

I am throwing my hat in the ring here. I am mailing our application on Wednesday to VSC. It is good to see a thread started here. We have a long wait ahead of us. I am sure that I will be one of the ones whining, moaning, and complaining about USCIS. That seems to be a popular subject on these K-1 threads. I can not officially bi**h yet, but soon. Let's stay in touch and help each other out. Nice to join the group.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to drop a couple of suggestions that helped me and Manuel.

If you're new to VJ, be sure to check out the guides section. It will tell you how to fill out everything, the timing of everything and answer questions you probably have. I have used it real often. (My and Manuel's problems first time around were not caused by anything on VJ. They helped us get it straightened out.)

Also, checking out the home page and how to use VJ. You will be AMAZED at all of the information that is available if you take the time to check it out.

And, regional forums are great. You can talk with people based on the country your fiance is from. Various countries experiences very different things in this journey. The regional forums can help you through with the particular region you are dealing with.

Just a few things that helped us,

Welcome to the journey and good luck to everyone!!

Kathy and Manuel

Daniel, have you received NOA1 from the VSC. If so you should update your timeline here on VJ. You can go to Timelines, Add/Edit and put in your NOA1 date. This helps everyone keep track of things, well for VSC anyway. I am CSC.

Good luck

Heyas! Joey (American) and I (Canadian) are also February filers!

Good luck to everyone. We're super anxious ourselves :)

Quick question, would anyone know what forms I should begin to gather while we're waiting for the NOA's to bounce around? From what I've read so far (here and there) I'll need to have my police check and an extended birth certificate (not the typical wallet sized one). Any others I should be prepared to gather?

Thanks!!

Omg, been looking for this thread and I thought it was non existent, lol!

Greetings all! I am a February filer! We sent in our I-129F on February 12th. Just got the NOA 1 yesterday! Now we are waiting for the next step. Reading that stuff about the packaging freaked me out at first. I paperclipped everything in sections, put them in plastic covers, and then into a big blue envelope. Definitely missed the part about how to properly package, lol. Then I put the blue envelope into a plastic protector and put that in this bubble wrap cushioned manila envelope. Hehe, I wanted to brighten someones day with the blue envelope. Hope it don't cost me my case...

Anywuzzle, God speed and best of luck to all the Feb filers! Let's keep each other encouraged, inspired, and sane!

At least this thread is not 5 pages back now. We are "moving on up" in the world. Sent "our" application in yesterday. Now time to grab a bag of chips, sit on the couch, and wait. I have to laugh at my Viktoriya. She can't believe how long the process takes. She asks if there is anyone that I can "talk to" (grease their palm) and make it go faster. This is not Ukraine. Our goverment beauracracy is just as messed up as hers. The only difference, no bribes. This is going to be a boring thread if there are only 5 of us. Wait, less applications, means faster approvals. I can live with that.

According to Igor's list, there's 51 of you :D Course, not everyone actively posts but maybe someone could IM them all with a link to the thread and see who else joins in.

Good luck folks!

lol, if only it were as easy as bribing a few people to get things going faster.

Of course from what I've seen looking at the trends, things are moving a lot faster now than they were a few years ago, so we should feel lucky to be filing now! :)
