I got an interview date :dance::dance:

My fiance and I are are super excited. May 4th is the date and I'm in the evidence gathering mood. I do have some questions about printing information from Skype. Does anyone know how to do that? The best I could do was screen print and paste in word... Will that be acceptable?

I also have phone logs but I don't call him direct, I use a phone card... Cheaper that way :) Does the consulate accept phonecard ?

His number shows up on my sprint log though. Will that be sufficient. He got his phone log form Starcomms and MTN where my number shows up when I call him. information as evidence too?

How far should we go back on e-mails ( we have e-mails dating back to 2004, although we were just friends then). Do they accept only e-mails

I also have pictures but they are not dated, will that be a problem? I read somewhere on here that the dated pictures are the only acceptable ones. Is this true? if so, them I'm screwed cos none of our pictures have dates on them. I'm kinda worried on that note.

Any advice will be appreciated

With Nigeria they focus a lot on how you met, you age differences, if the parents have met, how many times you have visited and for how long. So with that in mind , you need to show that your relationship has covered a long time, that you are communicating a lot ( one of our interview questions was how long we talk each day ) and that you have met parents ( assuming they are living ) and that you have hopefully made multiple trips to Nigeria. Try to spread the pictures out over the length of your relationship. Be prepared to be asked all sorts of questions about the life of the USC What size your house is , what time you wake up, what is your dogs name anything is fair game

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Congratulation on your interview date. Its seems so far away but so near. Please whatever you do, DO NOT submit any emails calling your fiancee my husband or him calling you his wife. Please. Make sure you and your fiancee know about each other well. Make sure that you have enough evidence to prove to them that you two indeed have a bondafide relationship. Last but not lease dont forget to pray. My fiancee and myself have overcome many obstacles with the Lagos Consulate (hopefully our last ordeal will be February when we present the documents that they requested). All the best and good luck to the both of you.

Thank you all for the advice.

I have known him for quite some time, (since we started high School in 1997) and we were best friends before we got together.

We are about the same age, I am only 4 months older.

I saw him 4 times last year (3 times that I went to Naija and once that we met up in London). I have all the passport stamps (both my Naija and American passports- I’m dual citizen and his Naija Passports), boarding passes, and pictures. Also I have pics I took with his parents and sisters, The only problem is that the pictures are not dated.

We talk about 4 times a day and we Skype every weekend. I have records of all his calls on my sprint bill and he was able to get records of my calls so I think we are good on that front.

I have decided to print e-mails from 2005, I figured 5 years should be good enough. I just want to be as ready as possible.

Right now I’m about to fill out the I-134 and get backup for the support. If I make over the 18K (which I do btw), do I also need Tax transcripts from the IRS, if I have my W2’s for 3 years and a letter from my employer? Does the Letter from Employer need to be notarized?

I am sorry I ask a lot of questions but I just want to be as ready and I can be.

And Nwanyioma, I won’t forget to pray… al this will mean nothing if I don’t. I will also be praying for you. When is your next interview?

For Skype, if you did the screen shot and pasted it might be acceptable if all is clear. The best way is once you are on the call history page, just print from your screen... If using a pc, File > Print. Comes out great.

I am not sure if you are looking at the call history from the skype website or your skype application. Sign on to skype.com > click "view call history" > choose month > File > Print.

I figure I should ask this question that has been bothering me for some time now.

I have filled a K-1 for my sweet heart after the initial introduction ceremony.

Her parents are insisting that we must at least perform the traditional marriage ceremony before she can join me in the states.

If we do perform the Traditional ceremony, how will we report it during the K-1 interview?

What is lagos embassy position with traditional marriage ceremony?

My financee is 12 years younger than I. Will this possess a problem?

I have no phone records for her calls because uptil now I didn't know it is reqiuired. I have been using phone card and lucily have them piled up at my house. Will phone cards be accepted? Also, we have magic jack that we use in calling each other. How do we present this?

Ok. If i start calling her using pingo and have records, will that create a problem as we don't have trails of phone records dated back since last year.

please help.
