I wondered about that, too. Two possibilities: 1) He always had a son, but never brought it up due to his estrangement from the son's mother. 2) He didn't have a son in the original timeline. For the Losties who never crashed on the Island, certain events in their lives were different beyond just those following the Oceanic flight. Some things in their past prior to the flight are also different. For example, Hugo not having bad luck.

Another great episode last night.

Yeah...you have to remember that the alternate timeline where the plane lands safely in LAX has a LOT of deviation from what WOULD have happened if the plane simply hadn't crashed on the island.

I was so worried after those first two episodes that LOST was going to suck in its penultimate season. These last two episodes have showed me that's not the case! :D

That's interesting though and the question would be: Did Jacob not visit them in the alternate timeline?

Because if Jacob had visited them, they'd still have ended up on the Island, would they have not?

Did the bomb cause something weird to happen with Jacob...

Also, remember how the Island is underwater in the alternate timeline... ####### is up with that????

It's Kate and Jack's son! Aaron (Littleton). They 'adopted' him after they got rescued!

This season kicks some serious azz! I can't wait to find out what the heck is going on (I'm totally confused the last few episodes)!

Do we know yet why Claire would go with John and who John really is??

This is my speculation - since Jacob didnt visit them, their life goes on and it wasnt as bad as the life they had after Jacob visited (Hugo is lucky, John Lock is getting married, Jack got to be closer to his son, Clair got to keep her baby...)

So the question is that is it becasue of Jacob visits, that made their life miserable and would want to leave them behind and stay on the island? I remember Jacob said that their life wasnt that great, why would they want to go back to (or was that the guy in black word?)

It's Kate and Jack's son! Aaron (Littleton). They 'adopted' him after they got rescued!

No it's not - in that life Kate and Jack dont know each other.

Oh gotcha... the piano guy you mean? Yeah no that I don't know. This alternate present could be told years ahead though... don't know. you're right though. I thought you meant little aaron (whom they did adopt in the first "real" life)...

My wife and I agree, Nessa.

My wife -- who has been a true DIE HARD Lost fan for many years -- angrily admitted to me this morning that she couldn't care less about seeing it each week. She's pissed off enough about it that she would have NO problem just waiting until it hits DVD and watching it then.

I agree to some degree. This season has been SUCH a deviation from prior seasons in terms of characterization and production values. It feels WAY too slick and populist this year...and too many ####### moments without any real merit. Not to mention bringing in a couple of new "main characters" who are killed off within five episodes...

Very disappointed. I really enjoyed the Locke episode and last week's episode was pretty good...but the direction this show has taken is such a disappointment. Maybe they can salvage it, but I don't know. As someone who loved most of the previous five seasons, I'm certainly disappointed myself. My wife moreso, since she's been invested in it for far longer.

I'm watching it right now with my hubby. Suprisingly it is the first season I have ever seen of the show. I'm hooked! Sayid seems a little different to my husband as well.
