Hey ready4One, and I am addressing this directly to you. Instead of making an issue about your so-called snitches, why aren't you making an issue out of the people that are violators of this boards rules. You as the rest of us our guests on this board, and as guests we are expected to abide by the rules of this board.

And right to make any rule they want, they have that right as they are supporting this board.

Didn't you move your eyes up just a few inches to read:

Please consider reading the FAQ's and Guides before posting.

If everyone adhered to the guides, would be no need for moderation nor reporting, and they are not the problem, the problem is with the violators.

There is a simple answer for this "snitch"problem. Open a "I'm a punk a$$ snitch"room. Sort of a forum witness protection program for ppl that cant control what they read!

Ban them to said room automatically when the report button is clicked for two hours. Disabling all abilities to post! Here comes the great part. All others will have the ability to verbally trash them for the whole two hours. Also when they are released theyre name will be changed to "im a punk a$$ snitch" for 7 days!

Seriously, if you can't troll someone and stay within the TOS, you fail. The only really acceptable usage of the report button is after you've properly trolled someone and got them to breach the TOS. I generally don't bother with the report button as most of the posts I report are by and large posts or actions taken by the mods. I go straight to El Jefe with those.

I know this was not the intended effect, nor is it even directly related, but reading your post made me think of this:

That's how things have generally been like here in OT. Even Capt. Ewok acknowledges that.

Don't kid yourself, Steven. The "loosely-enforced" TOS in OT is just an easy way to dismiss legitimate complaints and protect the popular kidz.

Snitching as you call it is strictly gangland and third grade stuff. If you served in the military, reporting was mandatory and for good reason, your life depended on it.

Best way to handle violators on a board is to totally ignore them, that is the worse thing you can do to them. Because they are intentionally trying to get a rise out of you by setting up a trap that most of you are dumb enough to walk into.

If everyone would ignore them, they would leave and find another hole to crawl into. Have yet to report a violator, not even worth my effort, just ignore them.

I think what you will actually find is that the OT rules are applied more or less the same in every REPORTED case. If you say something pissy that isn't reported, you don't get into trouble, hence the perceived double standards. That is my conclusion anyway.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
