A friend and his wife may possibly get divorced.

She came here legally and has a job.

She has PR card and is about to go for AOS.

If he wants to bring another lady over ..when can he do this?

He was told it was 2 every 10 years.

When does that 10 years start and end.

He did search this and couldn't find any info.

He thanks you

If she has a green card, she's already done AOS. Perhaps she's removing conditions.

On the two every ten years, he simply was told wrong. Does he want to bring a fiancee or spouse? It makes a difference but no actual law prevents him from bringing another fiancee, even within two years. If it has been less than two years since a previous I-129F petition was approved, he'll need to ask for a waiver. Otherwise, if this is only the second, and more than two years, no issues except the additional scrutiny of bona fides.

A Warning to Green Card Holders About Voting

There are policies in IMBRA that deal with multiple K-1 visas (I-129F petition) for the same USC - that 10 year mark - 2 every 10 year period - is actually part of the policy from IMBRA - so if it's MORE than 2 in a 10 year period, well, that USC will be looked at REALLY HARD after the 'next' I-129F submittal.

As I understand it - it's only on I-129F petitions.

An I-130 petition filed for CR-1/IR-1 visa, doesn't 'fall' into the count or even the policy.

'How' did his lass 'come over' ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

No limit. I know of a person who filed 5 K-1 petitions.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
