Fox is the most trusted television news network in the country, according to a new poll out Tuesday.

And here is why:

“A generation ago you would have expected Americans to place their trust in the most neutral and unbiased conveyors of news,” said PPP President Dean Debnam in his analysis of the poll. “But the media landscape has really changed, and now they’re turning more toward the outlets that tell them what they want to hear.”

Hmmmm calling a corporate broadcast news network the "most trustworthy" is like someone saying that their turds are the least smelly... Its meaningless.

Hmm, I dunno. My turds actually do smell fantastic.

I see. I don't see the point of these types of polls. There are no 'trustworthy' news outlets. All news is biased in some way and the only way to get a balanced opinion is to access several counterpointing outlets.

You make a good Point, who do you tune into or read on the right to get that balance your speaking of?

Along the same lines...

While I don't think you are linking level of education to the issue in this thread, I just want to say that there isn't a clear link.

I find it bizarre that even those with considerable education are unable to understand what Madame Cleo said. One thing is for sure, you can't get a degree in common sense.

Common sense is much too common for the elitists here. That point is obvious.

People who 'put their trust in' one news outlet are idiots. No one should put their trust into a single outlet

Like a crystal ball? Seems to me I have read three completely ignorant rants, just today, from someone  who knew nothing at all about poaching, wiretapping and the US legislative process. Time to tune the ball to FOX

I'll take my chances with the crystal ball. I suggest you look up ranting in the dictionary, as it appears to me that all the ranting was coming off your keyboard. My posts were pithy. Yes, I was wrong to believe that wantonly killing wasn't already illegal but the rest? Seems like your chalking up more wins than you are due...as if someone 'out there' is countring

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I don't trust any American "News" network. They all exhibit bias in the segments they air, on the left and on the right.

I'm really happy now we don't have Comcarp for our cable provider, as we now get BBC America and can watch the BBC News. Like me, it's an outsider looking in, but the news program reports the news and doesn't try to spin the content. When it comes to current affairs/opinion programming, the BBC is noticeably left-leaning, but the separation between news and opinion is pretty clear.

When the other half gets in the mood to watch a news network here, I tune it out, go elsewhere and goof off. Helps with my sanity.

it's amazing how some news networks can spin a story. Reminds me of a funny story. In the late 80's a newspaper in England ran this story which was picked up all over England by many different newspapers, they had this photo of a group of black men in south africa lying out on the grass, the article was about how some white policeman evidently shot and killed these poor guys lying on the grass. What f'in BS that was... these guys were lying sleeping under a tree in the mid day sun... a very common thing in SA - groups of workers will gather for lunch time on a piece of lawn under some shade, share lunch and take a nap. LOL
