It's funny how even when you look at tequila you can remember the taste vividly.

The first time I shot tequila, the people I was with told me that you really needed the salt and lime. I said, "Oh, screw that!" and downed the first shot without them...and it truly didn't bother me at all! I proceeded to down two more after that, no salt, no lime.

To be honest, I've never done a tequila shot with the lime or salt... I'm no hardcore drinker or shooter, but I just never understood why some people feel they NEED the lime and salt...

Plus it kind of tastes crappy.

But I don't think that is why they do it, if that were the case they would put cream cheese frosting on the rim of the glass, not use salt and lime.

It only tastes crappy if you're drinking poor quality tequila like Cuervo. I have yet to find a store in my albeit limited search in Canada for decent tequila brands. I found one store that had Patron, but none of the really quality brands. I think Canada needs a better trade relations with Mexico.

I will NEVER forget the one and only time I drank tequila. OMG. It literally took me three days to get over the hangover. I thought I was gonna die.

tequila makes my hubby awnry. i try and get him to take other shots. but when we first met and he bought me a drink, i asked for a shooter and he ordered what's called a spider bite. has anyone had this?

the tequila they use is quite disgusting by itself (Tarantula) and you have to take it with something else to drink it. but it was fun while it lasted. I can't drink that stuff until summer when we actually feel like drinking.
