Question regarding DS230 for minor child

Hi, We are at the last leg of my 13 yr old daughter immigrating here. My husband (US Citizen) applied for her.

After paying the IV Bill Fee and giving the afidavit of support docs. They sent us the DS230 to fill out.

On question 30 it states to list all places you have lived since the age of 16.

My daughter is 13. DO I just put N/A on that section?

Also, I am filling the paperwork out for her as all her paperwork has been coming to us and she is still in Canada.

Will she need to sign these documents? Again, she is a Minor so I don't see why she would have to sign a legal document.

Any help would be appreciated.

And signing it yourself wasn't a problem?

Thanks for your response!

The form says this: "Complete one copy of this form for yourself and each member of your family, regardless of age, who will immigrate with you. Please

print or type your answers to all questions. Mark questions that are Not Applicable with "N/A"." so you will need to fill one in for her.

There is also this:

"Child custody

Any minor child immigrating with a parent or who has been petitioned for on his or her own must submit custody information. This may include:

* A court “Order of Residence” & “Relocation Order” verifying sole custody of the immigrating parent, or

* A legal document from the child’s other parent advising of his/her knowledge and consent for the child to live indefinitely in the United States. This must include a copy of a photo ID of that parent; or

* A certified death certificate of the other parent."

I can't find anything specifically regarding a minor child SIGNING the form, but it stands to reason that you as the guardian would be able to sign it. It seems a bit silly that they don't have the same "signed on behalf of" like some of the other forms do.

Hi my name is Tal I called the NVC myself regarding DS-230 because my son is 3 years old and it says there that applicant must sign. When I called them they said that if the applicant is minor legal guardian or the parents mst complete and sign the form. =)
